Rangers SWEEP the Astros... Angels Series Preview


GO RANGERS!!!

HELLO WIN COLUMN!!!! Rangers beat the Houston Astros in Game 3, 7-3!!! We get the SWEEP (remember... a sweep is when you win every game in the series!) Part of me feels badly for Houston... they are so terrible - it's almost hard to watch... but we'll take the confidence boost down the stretch! :) 

~ Martin Perez... (the Rangers pitcher tonight) - he held is own... it got shaky in the beginning but he pulled it out! (he got breathing instructions in the dugout - dude was practicing his vinyasa) :) ha! 

 ~ The bottom of the 4th inning is when the Rangers Offense (hitters/batters/base-runners) were on fire! Craig Gentry (cute outfielder) got hit by a pitch (the pitcher actually hit him with the ball... it's debatable if it's ever "on purpose" but we'll let it slide tonight) Leonys Martin hit a deep ball with bases loaded and got 3 "RBI's." 

 ~ "RBI" - Runs Batted In - this is a statistic - pretty important for any decent hitter to have as many RBI's as possible!

**Cleveland won't lose... which is annoying... and still leaves us 1 game behind them in the chase for the post-season! We have to win every game!!!** 

 We start a 4 Game Series tomorrow night... at home... against the LA Angels! These are the last 4 games of the regular season!

 What should you know about the Angels?? 

 ~ Josh Hamilton... he is one of their outfielders - we used to have him... choice words were said in his leaving Texas and it had a negative impact on many fans. I am still very thankful for how he played in TX and how he helped us get to the World Series!! (we didn't win... Nelly Cruz... Game 6... ugh... like Yastrzemski in Boston...) Anyway... Hamilton is a Natural and he is on fire as of late! He is capable of hitting multiple home runs (especially in our Ballpark!) - so we better hope our pitchers are ON! 

 ~ Mike Trout... he is also one of their outfielders and a prodigy baseball child. He's like 12 years old, but he is a beast on the field!

Alexi is matched up with CJ Wilson (pitcher for LA) - CJ used to pitch for the Rangers - and as far as I'm concerned - we are able to get inside his head every time he pitches here! IF you're at the GAME (which I will be) - cheer loudly - but don't be rude!!! :)

~ While I did live in NYC for a few years... I never cheated on the Rangers... any time they played at Yankee Stadium - I would cheer for the Rangers... but I would be lying if I didn't say that I appreciate the history of the Yankees, Monument Park and Mariano Rivera... watch this short clip... about one of the greatest Yankees/Baseball Players/Closers ever... Mariano Rivera... Luckily for the Rangers - the Yankees are out of the playoff race this year!

Over-reaction Monday Week 6

GO COWBOYS!!! The Cowboys are 3-3... ( Wins are always the first number - Losses are the 2nd number ) - we're batting .500 folks! We Beat the Redskins!!! 16-31 :)  This was a great game!!! The Cowboys fought hard, and Tony Romo (our QB) played with a similar intensity as he did last week. ( The competition wasn't nearly as pressing, but he still got the job done! ) Good job Romo! He was also able to hit all of his WR's again! If the Offensive Line continues to give Romo time ( Cowboys fans have been whining about this for years ) - he should be able to produce a few more W's! ( "W" - Win )  ~ Dwayne Harris (WR) - this guy is fast! That's all you need to know. He plays on our Special Teams roster, and returns punts. He is always fast and can juke the defensive players very well. Scored a TD ( touchdown ) in this game and came close to scoring a second one! Props to Harris!
