Texas Rangers Adrian Beltre hits 3,000 ~ Pudge Rodriguez ~ Family

GO RANGERS !!! 50-54 11th in the AL (American League) 4th in the AL West (18 games behind the Houston Astros) We didn't get the Win. But, Adrian Beltre had his 3,000 hit, and Pudge Rodriguez went into the MLB Hall of Fame. Pretty good day to be a Texas Rangers fan!  Adrian Beltre is 38 years old. It's an accomplishment to be playing at 38, Tom Brady knows this, but to play and be as competitive as he is, it is fun to watch!  These athletes are paid a lot of money to entertain people. And when you see someone playing because they love the game so much and they want to win for their team as badly as Beltre does, it somehow makes it all even more enjoyable to watch.  We all spend our money on a lot of things: movies, bowling, food, concerts, etc. I choose to spend mine on sporting events. ha! I feel like it's far better than reality TV. It's live sports!! The only thing better is watching my nieces and nephews play.  And today I defi

Texas Rangers Trade Deadline ~ Dallas Cowboys Issues ~ Shark Week

GO RANGERS !!! 49-51 9th in the AL (American League) 3rd in the AL West (17 games behind the Houston Astros) Are you still cheering for the Texas Rangers?  I am!  " But they're not even at .500 !"  True, but they're still my team.  I want them to win, even if we're not going to the World Series this year.  So, what do we need to do to win?  Broken Record... Pitching. Yu Darvish is our most appealing pitcher to put up for sale. Sounds harsh, but it's a business. And Yu will probably be glad he's traded to another team that is in the race for the Pennant this year.  Darvish's current stats...  3.44 Earned Runs Average (ERA) 133.1 Innings Pitched (IP) 143 Strikeouts (SO) 6 Wins (W) 8 Losses (L) He ranks 9th in the American League in ERA and 4th in Strikeouts.  Who is in the hunt? We've heard that the Yankees and Dodgers have called with interest. The Dodgers just had our very own, Dallas native

Texas Rangers ~ MLB All-Star Weekend ~ Cowboys ~ Healthy Burger

GO RANGERS !!! 43-45 9th in the AL (American League) 3rd in the AL West (16 games behind the Houston Astros) What is going on with the Rangers????  We need pitching.  Almost every guy on our team is batting .250 or higher... this is a good thing! We have 133 Home Runs for the first half of the season, 3rd in the league. Sure, we could always use more offense, but when our guys are consistently putting up 5 or more runs, even in losses, you've gotta get some help from your bullpen ( the bullpen is where the pitchers warm-up during games, usually in the outfield ). Yu Darvish is still our most " productive " pitcher. He's been healthy most of the season, and has 125 strikeouts. But why am I still not sold on this guy? Maybe because his ERA is 3.49, and maybe because he's allowed 93 guys to hit off of him, second most to Martin Perez.  I'm not an expert here, but Darvish was selected for the All-Star Game, which is this T
