Week 17: Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants ~ MAVS ~ Happy New Year

GO Cowboys!!! 9-6 (wins ~ losses) We WON the NFC East Division! Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants ( away team ~ home team ) Sunday, December 30th at 12:00 (Noon) CST on FOX Sunday, Sunday Sunday...  The Cowboys play the New York Giants, another division rival, who is already out of the running for the Playoffs. The Cowboys clinched the NFC East in the game last week vs. Tampa Bay.  So, what do you do when you barely make it into the Playoffs and you need to rest your players, but you also want to win in order to get a better seed in the Playoffs?? The game becomes a pre-season game on steroids. The Giants are going to play their best players for a while but they will also see what young guys can do to build on for next year.  What will the Cowboys do? There's a mix of all things happening, not sure it's all going to work.  Who is confirmed to play?  Dak Prescott ( QB - quarterback ) - for how long? Probably three quarters? Unless we're losing badly

Week 16: Tampa Bay Bucs vs. Dallas Cowboys ~ MAVS ~ Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Merry Christmas from Texas! #hugsomeone #MerryChristmas GO Cowboys!!! 8-6 (wins ~ losses) 1st in the NFC East 4th in the NFC (National Football Conference) Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys ( away team ~ home team ) Sunday, December 23rd at 12:00 (Noon) CST on FOX "U.G.L.Y., you ain't got no alibi, you're ugly." ~  Does anyone remember this song? It's a terrible song, but so accurately describes the Cowboys game vs. the Colts.  Everyone keeps saying, " we won five games in a row, we were due for a bad game. " Um, no. That's called inconsistent. We BARELY beat the Falcons, the Saints and the Eagles. The Saints were the only team that we could have lost to and it would have been expected. But I feel like that 13-10 victory over the Saints has somehow covered over the ugliness in our Offense that still exists. And for the first time, our Defense got worked over... BY THE COLTS! Moving on t

Week 15: Dallas Cowboys vs. Indianapolis Colts ~ MAVS ~ A few of my favorite gifts

GO Cowboys!!! 8-5 (wins ~ losses) 1st in the NFC East 4th in the NFC (National Football Conference) Dallas Cowboys vs. Indianapolis Colts ( away team ~ home team ) Sunday, December 16th at 12:00 (Noon) CST on FOX We had an ugly win on Sunday against the Eagles. We scored points, because we had Amari Cooper . A sacrificed first round draft pick got us 3 TD's that helped us win the game! That and Brett Maher's 62-yard field goal. We're not going to talk about the 45-yarder that he missed. Bottom line... they got the job done and Zeke managed to run vs. their D-line, which was impressive.  It's week 15. Everyone is worn out. Football, like every sport is about endurance, strength and the willingness to win. Playoffs... Playoffs...   The Colts need this win, at home, to make it into the playoffs and edge out Miami. Stat predictors give them a 23% chance of obtaining a Playoff spot.  Dallas needs to win one of their last three games to make it into the

Week 14: Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys ~ MAVS ~ Oil Mash-up

GO MAVS!!! 12-11 (wins ~ losses) We beat the Clippers!!! The game I got to go to last Sunday was awesome! It's like every team in Dallas has learned to play a little Defense these days! I felt like J.J. Barea was the only guy scoring points in the first half, he finished with 24 points on the night. But Harrison Barnes stayed consistent all night too, leading the team with 30 points. I may or may not have been yelling/cheering for Matthews or DSJ ( Dennis Smith Jr. ) to do something!! Matthews finally got his shot going and then DeAndre Jordan decided to play defense against his old team. His effort in the second half turned the game around! He finished the night with 23 rebounds, in which 17 of those were Defensive rebounds. Now that's what I'm talking about!! There was a moment in the game where DSJ was fouled by Patrick Beverley and his tooth came out. HIS TOOTH! The friends I was with at the game instantly noticed their wasn't any blood, so

Week 13: New Orleans Saints vs. Dallas Cowboys ~ MAVS ~ Hallmark Channel

GO Cowboys!!! 6-5 (wins ~ losses) New Orleans Saints vs. Dallas Cowboys ( away team ~ home team ) Thursday, November 29th at 7:20 PM CST on FOX We've won three games in a row!!! One on the road and two at home. Woohoo! The win against Atlanta was a big deal! I know they're not the most solid team, but their Offense is still lethal and our Secondary held it together all four quarters! Zeke ( our RB ) also had 122 rushing yards. That helped give our Offense a break from covering Julio Jones all game! That dude is awesome to watch!! Wow!  I know everyone is excited that we got another W last week vs. the Redskins, but it was against their back-up QB, Colt McCoy, from UT. McCoy's new back-up is Mark Sanchez, from USC. Every time I hear about this guy I laugh at this photoshoot . .....  Sorry, still laughing... Aaron Rodgers thought that photoshoot was funny too !  Focus. THIS WEEKS GAME... The Saints. Y'all. Drew Brees. I just don't know. There'
