GO RANGERS!!! Opening Day! Thursday, March 28th at 3:05 PM CST What a great day this will be! The Rangers are playing the Chicago Cubs in our home opener this year! It is the last year at our stadium! The stadium built in 1994. The year that Kenny Rogers threw a perfect game and my oldest sister was in attendance. July 28, 1994. Rusty Greer caught the final out in left field. The stadium that the Disney movie " The Rookie " was filmed in. Yes, I cry when he gets to run out on the mound. A lot of changes have been made to our roster this year... 1) We have a new Manager. Jeff Banister was replaced with Chris Woodward , former 3rd base coach from the LA Dodgers. Most articles say that they chose to go with Woodward because of his communication style. Banister must have been old school and that doesn't go over so well with young kids. So yeah. I'm officially old. 2) Beltre retired. So sad. No more dancing at third base or dancing in
