Week 13: Dallas Cowboys vs. Minnesota Vikings ~ NFC East ~ NFL logo quiz

GO COWBOYS!!! 10-1 1st in the NFL 1st in the NFC EAST Thursday, December 1st 7:25 PM CST on NBC We've NEVER won 10 consecutive games. Ever.  We lost our first game of the season to the New York Giants, by one point. And oddly enough, they are still the ghost we're trying to run away from and secure our playoff spot with only 5 Regular Season games left.  Here is what the NFC East looks like going into Week 13...  The Minnesota Vikings... what should we fear?  The Vikings are in the NFC North Division. They currently trail the Detroit Lions for a spot in the playoffs. They have only won 1 of their last 5 games, which makes this Thursday night, showtime game, a must win for the Vikings!  4-1 at home, The Vikings meet the Cowboys who are 5-0 on the road. Oh how I love those odds! Forever in our favor this season.  Quarterback situation. Sam Bradford is the starting QB for the Vikings. A guy they got in the offseason from the Phi

Week 12: Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys ~ Staubach's Final Game vs. Redskins ~ Be Thankful

GO COWBOYS!!! 9-1 1st in the NFL  (I've died and gone to Heaven) 1st in the NFC EAST Thursday, November 24th Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys  (home team is second) 3:30 PM CST on FOX Full of hope, I predicted last week that the Cowboys would beat the Ravens by 11 points. We won by 10.  Y'all, this is better than I could have ever hoped for... in my football fan life. We went up against the #1 Defense in the league, threw up 97 rushing yards from Zeke and 301 passing yards by Dak. What? Who are we? So much fun!  THANKSGIVING DAY RIVALRY...  Before you get all tired off Tryptophan ... make sure to  check out this link and read about the NFL history on Thanksgiving Day . The two most consistent teams to play are the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions.  The Washington Redskins... our NFC East Division Rival. We have played the Redskins twice a year since 1961.  That is a long time!  The Cowboys have played on Thanksgivi

Week 11: Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys ~ Mavs ~ Gift Guide for Black Friday

GO COWBOYS!!! 8-1 1st in the NFL (I've died and gone to Heaven) 1st in the NFC EAST Sunday, November 20th Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys  (home team is second) 12:00 PM CST on CBS First things first... the Cowboys are playing amazing football right now! Even sportscasters who don't like the Cowboys can't stop talking about them.  I mentioned last week that we are the most balanced team in the league. When your Offense and Defense share an even amount of time on the field, it is easier to stay fresh and productive. If you leave your D out there too long, they're bound to make mistakes. So even with our Offense being as productive as they are, they are still staying on the field long enough to keep it balanced.  The Cowboys have a total of 219 first downs this season and lead the league at Offensive time of possession, 33:39 minutes ( an NFL football game is made up of 4 quarters, 15 minutes each, a total of 60 minutes ).  Ton

Week 10: Dallas Cowboys vs. Pittsburgh Steelers ~ Mavs Win ~ The Warfighters

GO COWBOYS!!! 7-1 1st in the NFC EAST Sunday, November 13th Dallas Cowboys vs. Pittsburgh Steelers  (home team is second) 3:25 PM CST on  FOX As I am starting to write to you about the Cowboys and their amazing season... I am watching the Veterans Day marathon of the new series " The Warfighters " on the History Channel . More info in the " Random Info " section below...  Now back to sports... the local guys who entertain us and play a sport we all love, but can all acknowledge, and most of them do, it is just a sport.  Trivia...  How many Super Bowls have the Cowboys and Steelers won combined?  If you were born in the late 90's or 2000's... you will have to Google this.  These two teams were known for winning back in the day. They  have faced each other 31 times. The Cowboys have won 16 of those 31 games.  However, times have changed... actually, this past year has changed so many things in Dallas.  Quarterbac

Week 9: Dallas Cowboys vs. Cleveland Browns ~ Mavs losing streak ~ World Series ~ Election Tuesday

GO COWBOYS!!! 6-1 1st in the NFC EAST Sunday, November 6th Dallas Cowboys vs. Cleveland Browns  (home team is second) 12:00 PM CST on FOX The Cowboys are rolling. We are 2nd in the Power Rankings for the entire league!!!! Behind the ridiculously, annoyingly, always good, New England Patriots.  I expect us to be 7-1 after Sunday's game.  As much as I would love to tell you this week is going to be challenging. I do not believe it will be.  The Browns are 0-8. Which kind of makes me sad. No one should be 0-8. Their Basketball team did win the Championship last season. And their Indians just lost the World Series. Sooooo... football just isn't Cleveland's thing. Go Cavaliers. Go Indians.  The only reason the Cleveland Browns will win is if they miraculously rally behind their rookie QB, Cody Kessler , or if they take advantage of the injuries Dallas has. Kessler had a concussion and was out of the game last week. Assuming he feels goo
