Week 8: Seattle Seahawks vs. Dallas Cowboys ~ Dallas Mavericks ~ Fixer Upper

GO COWBOYS!!! 2-4  (wins - losses) Sunday, November 1st Seattle Seahawks vs. Dallas Cowboys  (home team is second) 3:25 PM CST on  FOX The Seattle Seahawks are coming to Dallas.  Pete Carroll (Head Coach, formerly at USC)  Russell Wilson (QB) Marshawn Lynch (RB) Tyler Lockett  (WR) Richard Sherman (entire Defense) This may be a big deal... since they won the Super Bowl in 2013 and their Conference last year. Now they have Jimmy Graham, TE from New Orleans, whom Russell Wilson seems to like! 31 receptions for 375 yards and two receiving touchdowns.  I'd like to say Graham will be Dallas' biggest challenge or Wilson or Lynch or Sherman, but Dallas' biggest challenge is Dallas!  If you remember, Dallas went to Seattle last year and defeated the Seahawks 30-23. Yes, this was with Dez, Romo, and DeMarco Murray, but it is possible we could do it again IN Dallas!! Right??  Dez Bryant is planning to be back for this game. You know he wants to take on

Week 7: Cowboys vs. New York Giants ~ Dierks Bentley Riser

GO COWBOYS!!! 2-3  (wins - losses) Sunday, October 25th Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants  (home team is second) 3:25 PM CST on FOX On the road again...  I just can't wait to get on the road again...  Why have I started the past few Cowboys posts with old Western songs... Maybe my Grandpa's influence or my Dad's... gotta love them!  I mentioned last week, during our BYE week ( aka, mini vacation from playing ), that we were making some changes on Offense... and Defense, but mainly Offense.  We will stroll into the Meadowlands , in NYC, actually New Jersey, where the New York Giants ( and New York Jets ) play.  Their home turf is past the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of twirly, swirly gumdrops, and then you go through the Lincoln Tunnel (literally). ~ Elf (please tell me you've watched this once already this Fall) The Giants are fairly healthy, with Eli Manning at QB and Rashad Jennings at RB and Odell Beckham, Jr

Week 6: Dallas Cowboys BYE ~ Rangers ALDS Game 5 ~ Seasons Change

GO RANGERS !!!  PLAYOFFS!!  Rangers vs. Toronto Blue Jays Series Lost 2-3 I don't want to talk about it.  Seriously.  We put together the most exciting 2nd half of a season since 2011... and it all fell apart in 3 Postseason games... especially today.  Win or Go Home.  They're coming back to Texas.  And, we'll welcome them! Still cheering! Still supporting our players, because that's what fans do!  We don't wish they would lose. Ever.  Every day in life we win and lose. But the goal is to win.  Sure, we always learn from the losses, usually great things... but that's not what you hope for! Winning isn't always a score either. It is supporting each other. Being there for your teammate, co-worker, family. Good times and bad.  These players become a family. And we, as fans, are like second cousins, once removed, on their great uncle's side. But, we're still family. And, it works. One stat from this crazy game tod

Over-reaction Monday Week 5 - Texas Rangers Game 5 ~ Ginger Snaps with Milk

GO RANGERS !!!  PLAYOFFS!!  Rangers vs. Toronto Blue Jays Series 2-2 Game 5. Wednesday. 3:07 PM - in Canada Final Game!! Win or Go Home!!!  My heart is worn out.  Can't handle anymore games!  We dominated the first game in Toronto.  Survived the second game in 14 innings, with a spectacular finish!  Then... we started two left handed pitchers at home in games 3 and 4... against a team who has the best record in all of MLB vs. Lefty's!  Frustrating.  I'm typically a nice person, but I was at Game 3, Sunday night, and I held back from saying some ( not so nice ) words to some drunk Blue Jay's fans wearing Dez jerseys!  Stay classy people.  If you're in the opponents stadium...  ( for any sport )  1. Cheer when your team scores. But not excessively.  2. Don't cheer for your defense, it's rude.  3. High five the friends you came with. Don't stand up to all of the Rangers fans around you, throwing your hands in t

Week 5: New England vs. Cowboys ~ Rangers Sweep? Blue Jays ~ President's Cup

GO RANGERS !!!  PLAYOFFS!!  Rangers vs. Toronto Blue Jays Series 2-0 Game 3. Sunday. 7:05 PM - in Arlington HELLO WIN COLUMN!!! RANGERS LEAD THE ALDS SERIES 2-0 and play Game 3 at home Sunday night!  Y'all. Can I get an air high five?  I really hope you got to watch the game or at least listen to it on the radio. If you missed it or just got lost in the 14 innings... watch this recap . Or watch this video play-by-play of all of the great hits!  Roughned Odor deserves the biggest hug ever!! That dude was all over the place! He always is, but his sliding abilities are insane! I'm pretty sure he takes off his batting gloves and puts a sliding mit on his right hand. His two slides at Home Plate looked like a scene out of the Matrix! Gosh, you gotta love that kid!  And DeShields . Sheesh. He got up to 21mph running to first base in the 14th inning! What? Track star? I'm glad he chose baseball instead of the Olympics. And glad the Rangers chose hi

Over-reaction Monday Week 4 - Texas Rangers Postseason ~ Sinbad

GO COWBOYS!!! 2-2  (wins - losses) Dallas Cowboys vs. New Orleans Saints We lost Sunday night.  To the Saints, Drew Brees and his 400 career touchdowns. If he wasn't so likable, it would upset me that his 400th TD came in overtime to beat the Cowboys, but it's okay. Life is as it should be.  Joseph Randle needs to figure out how to score a running touchdown properly ( he keeps extending the ball over the goal line, which can result in a fumble, so they bench him, and my fantasy team loses ). We're injured.    Sean Lee has a concussion and is out for an undetermined amount of time.  Lance Dunbar has a torn ACL and is out for the season.  Our WR4, Brice Butler is also out, "day-today," with a hamstring injury.  Romo, Dez, Gregory, Hardy are still out.  It's a long road ahead.  Positives...  Weeden did a good job throwing the ball. I love the he has a baseball background because it gives him an extra zip on the ball! It's a go

Week 4: Cowboys vs. Saints ~ Rangers MUST WIN ~ Texas A&M

GO COWBOYS!!! 2-1  (wins - losses) Sunday, October 4th Dallas Cowboys vs. New Orleans Saints  (home team is second) 7:30 PM CST on NBC When the NFL made the schedule for 2015, they expected to see Tony Romo vs. Drew Brees on Sunday Night Football. I just hope Carrie Underwood can change her song to Brandon Weeden and Luke McCown!  Kidding , the Saints plan on starting Drew Brees, but depending on the swelling and inflammation in his shoulder, we may see McCown before the game is over.  The Cowboys are rolling into NOLA at 2-1 to meet up with an 0-3 Saints Team. This is probably the main reason they are starting Drew Brees , even if he isn't 100% healthy. They have to win this one. They have to get back on track. But, so do The Boys.  Saints...  This season, their Defense has allowed an average of 28 points scored per game, and 276 passing yards by the opposing team. This is good news for Weeden. He needs to throw the ball more this game and get a balanced rhythm
