GO COWBOYS!!! NFL DRAFT, Thursday, April 28th - Saturday, April 30th IT IS  DRAFT WEEK !!!!  Watch the NFL Draft Live .  So... the Draft never disappoints. For those of you who think it is the equivalent of watching golf on TV or baseball... you should give it another shot! There are trades, drama with tweets being sent out about players and over-reaction from the TV analysts! Plus, you get to see a lot of grown men cry... happy tears... but still, very rare scene. The Dallas Cowboys did EXACTLY what I wanted them to do for the past two years. They took Ezekiel Elliott with the 4th pick in the 1st round. Did we want to have the horrible record we had last year, NO! But, it got us to the 4th spot and we finally paid a Running Back! It has seriously been since Emmitt Smith that we made this position a priority. With the pressure Romo gets, we need a solid RB who can block! GO STARS!!! 3-2 PLAYOFFS We are up 3-2 vs. the Minnesota Wild The Wild hasn't made it easy on the Dallas Stars this series. A lot of people thought it would be a 4 game sweep, but Minnesota has held their own and kept it interesting.  The Stars are back in Minnesota today, at 2 PM CST for game 6.  Like I've said before, I am not the biggest hockey fan... however, anything in the Playoffs is fun and entertaining.  Since watching more hockey - I have noticed that when any team, Stars especially, have more shots than the other team, we win. Like in basketball.  Most of the regular season, they had twice the amount of shots and easily beat the other team. Clearly you need a good offensive scheme to take that many shots and wear down the other teams defense, but we haven't seen that happen as much in the Playoffs. I do believe they will win today! The Masters Danny Willett won the tournament Jordan Spieth lead for 7 rounds of The Masters ... 4 last year and 3 this year, not including this morning.  Spieth played a great game, but shot a 7 on hole 12, a Par 3 , that ended up costing him the tournament. But, let's be honest, how many people could handle that pressure and not make a mistake, ever? Not many. And the fact that he held it together this long, at age 22, is quite remarkable. Despite the heartbreak defeat, Jordan tied for 2nd and the crowd and fellow Green Jacket  members gave him a standing ovation. No, that won't erase the memory of a 7 on a Par 3 in the final round, but it will give him motivation to win it next year, and the next, and the next.  I'd like to think he's the next Payne Stewart . GO RANGERS !!! 1-0 Opening Day Today, April 4th, 2016 at 3:00 PM CST was the Texas Rangers Opening Day in Arlington, TX!  Why? Opening Day is a big deal because it's the kick-off to a 162 game season, where over half of those games are played at home; and, of course, the chance to win the World Series this year!  The Second question you should be asking yourself, or I'm asking myself is... Why didn't I skip work to go to the game? The answer to this question for myself is, I went to Opening Day all throughout my college life ( it's way more fun to skip class than skip work ). But, ever since the Rangers have made it to the Post-Season consistently; I'd rather spend my money in October.
