GO STARS!!! 2-0
PLAYOFFS

We are up 2-0 vs. the Minnesota Wild

With the way the Stars are playing... we should win in 4 and have a few days rest before Round 2 of the Playoffs!

GO RANGERS!!! 7-6
1st in AL (American League) West

The deal is DONE! We have Adrian Beltre for 2 more years at $36M... he is our third baseman and one of the most influential veterans on our team. Here are 10 interesting facts about Adrian Beltre

This past series vs. the Baltimore Orioles was spectacular!!

I was fortunate enough to go Thursday night, when we won 6-3. Then we lost big time on Friday, 11-5 and got back on track yesterday, winning 8-4.

The winning pitchers were Cole Hamels on Thursday and Keone Kela on Saturday. Derek Holland was supposed to pitch Sunday, but the game was rained out. First rainout for the Rangers in 448 consecutive regular season games... longest in MLB history.

***April 17th's game was rescheduled for Monday, June 20th. You can go to that game or exchange you tickets for any regular season game, Sun-Thurs.***

Here is the upcoming schedule... I suggest you all go see Nomar Mazara play... dude is 6' 4" and looks like a tight end. He not only challenges the strike zone but is a threat in right field too. I know we get excited about every new prospect from the minors... but this dude may be the real deal?!?!

GO MAVS!!! 1-0
PLAYOFFS vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

We were hurt going into the playoffs and continue to be hurt... We lost 106-70 in Game 1 in OKC. JJ Barea is out again with a strained groin, not fun, and we're playing with the rest of our team at about 80%. It's not looking good for us... but Dirk, being the leader that he is, went on Mike and Mike this week to try to re-create the magic that happened in 2011... the last time he was on Mike and Mike and we hit lightening in a bottle with a Championship that year!!

Listen in... Mike and Mike with Dirk Nowitzki

GO COWBOYS!!!
OFF-SEASON

The NFL Draft is quickly approaching... April 28th, 6 PM, in Chicago, IL. (If it ever goes back to NYC, I'll go again).

I've said for the past two years that I think we should take Ezekiel Elliott in the Draft... he will most likely be available as the 4th pick, which we have because of our stellar recored last year. However, most experts do not see the Cowboys, aka Stephen Jones, taking a Running Back that high in the draft. We wouldn't even pay DeMarco Murray after his record breaking year in 2014... sooooo what now?

Are we taking a back-up QB for Romo? Nope, Jerry thinks Romo has 3 more solid years left. (Remember, Aaron Rodgers sat behind Brett Favre for 3 years - worked out pretty well for the guy - he was drafted 24th in the 1st round of the 2005 draft). I still think we should get a QB... even if it's a 6th rounder like Tom Brady was in 2000.

Here are what the professionals are saying... read on...

Dirk Nowitzki ~ Dallas Cowboys Free Agency ~ Texas Rangers ~ Selection Sunday ~ Loveland, CO

GO MAVS!!! 27-36  (wins - losses) Dirk, Dirk, he's our man... if he can't do it... no one can!!!  Well, only 5 other guys can and have.  Dirk is now 6th on the all time list of NBA players to score 30,000 points . This is a crazy accomplishment. He's played over 1,300 games in his 19 year career with the Dallas Mavericks.  His commitment to this team and to our city has been life changing for many. He does a lot in our community through the Dirk's Heroes Foundation . Fundraising and giving grants to non-profits in our community and around the world that are making an impact in the lives of children and families in need.  Back in the day, the Mavs games were fun to watch with the " Three J's " - but we didn't win a lot, and we never thought we would make it to the playoffs consistently, much less to the NBA Finals. ( Three J's: Jimmy Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, Jason Kidd - here's a funn...

Dallas Mavs ~ Texas Rangers ~ Thoughts on the Super Bowl ~ Dallas is Freezing

Dallas  Mavericks 13-14 (wins-losses) I feel like we've been on a rollercoaster with the Mavs, but I like the direction we're going now. As for how NBA and NFL players feel about our cold weather... that's a funnier story. The Mavs longest stretch of losses was six games in mid-January. It was not fun and the team looked confused as to why they couldn't pull out a win.  A few guys have been out, off and on, due to illness or injury, but now they're all back and are rolling. Especially Kristaps Porzingis .  They keep joking that he's playing how he did back in September 2020 when they were in the NBA bubble, before his knee injury. Now that he has healed and is playing more minutes per game, he has been on fire! To see a 7'3" guy drain 3 pointers like he does is amazing. I mean, if he raises his arms, they're already above the rim, so he just has to put the right arc on it and swish. So cool!  His stats vs. the Pelicans in Friday night's victory:...

Rangers lose Game 1

GO RANGERS!!! Rangers lose to the Kansas City Royals, 2-1. Their pitching was spectacular. Our pitching wasn't too bad, but yet again, we couldn't hit against Santana! (that was KC's pitcher) The Rangers are 7 games behind Oakland to win the Division. Clearly we probably won't catch up to them, but we can still get a Wild Card spot if they ever start winning consistently!  Game 2 in KC is tomorrow night - Matt Garza is pitching for the Rangers!  Cheer Loudly!  GO COWBOYS!!! 12:00 PM - this Sunday - St. Louis Rams vs Dallas Cowboys.  Enjoy your family, friends and some football!!! :) "Day of Rest" Random Info: The two teams who have already secured a spot in the Playoffs are:  ~ Boston Red Sox (we used to have Mike Napoli  - he is a great Home Run hitter and now plays for Boston... his beard fits in perfectly there)  ~ LA Dodgers (We like their Manager - Don Mattingly  - he used to play for the NY Yankees back in the day!)  ...
