Alex Rios hit for the Cycle

GO RANGERS!!!

 HELLO WIN COLUMN!!!! Rangers win 12-0!

 Well... it's not a shock that the Rangers took the Astros in Game 1 of this 3 Game series. ("took" - is another term for "beat")

~ Derek Holland - our pitcher - well this game totally helped his ERA! He pitched a complete game, 112 pitches! (most pitchers only stay in until 100-115 pitches) He had his game face on... plus Houston is a horrible team... that always helps! 

 ~ Alex Rios - He hit for the "Cycle" - only the 8th player in Texas Rangers History to do this!!! "Cycle" - this is when a player gets on every base after a hit in the same game. So... Rios hit and got a Single (1st base), Double (2nd base), Triple (3rd base) and a Home Run! (it does not have to be in this order - just completed in the same game)

 We are still 1 1/2 games behind Cleveland to get the 2nd spot in the Playoffs. We have 6 games left... they're all Home Games! 

 Buy a ticket to one of the last games - wear Rangers colors and Don't Do The Wave!!! :)

GO RANGERS !!! ALDS PLAYOFFS - THIS THURSDAY It's official... we are playing the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALDS.  Dang it.  I can't stand the Blue Jays. They have trashy fans. Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day ~ Thankful for Sports ~ Thankful for Life

Dallas Cowboys Sunday, November 22 @ 3:25  PM CST Dallas Cowboys vs. Minnesota Vikings  (home team is second) & Thanksgiving Day, November 26 @ 3:30  PM CST Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys  (home team is second) Our record is 2-7. That's two wins, seven losses. Every other conference in the NFL has a team in the lead with at least 6 wins. The Eagles are leading the NFC East with a 3-5 record, while the Cowboys are tied with Washington in 3rd and 4th place. This should make the Thanksgiving day game interesting. Two 2-7 teams, prime time at 3:30 PM on Turkey Day!!  Not quite the games we've watched in the past with this rivalry, but this will be the first year the Cowboys are playing The Washington Football Team, with no name. That's kind of cool. And of course there will be a Salvation Army nod with Zeke.  That is if Zeke can run the ball. The Masters ~ Texas Rangers ~ Paleo Ice Cream

The Masters Augusta, Georgia. That's all you have to say to a golf fan and they'll sigh. Probably because going to The Masters is on their bucket list. As it is mine. (image from The Saint) Golf is a ridiculously challenging sport. If you do not play golf, it's hard for you to imagine the difficulty of hitting a small ball into a small hole in the ground. It may even seem silly to you, but then I'd challenge you to look at every sport out there and name one that doesn't seem semi-ridiculous. As for The Masters and Amen Corner , it's a tradition. I grew up watching this tournament at our home with my Dad, Mom and two older sisters. It's where champions are made! I even remember the years Tiger Woods was starting to play. All of high school and college, for me, he dominated this tournament and so many others. Crazy to know he's playing again this year, at 42 years of age. Maybe I still have time to become a pro?
