The Lone Rangers ~ Cowboys Post-Draft ~ Fashion Tips

GO RANGERS!!!

Record... 20-21 (W-L)

The Rangers are now batting .500. Not a good thing, especially with the way our offense has been hitting and our pitching rotation is collapsing.

Rangers fans have taken a few hits so far this season. Derek Holland having a freak accident that will keep him out until July. We waited a year to get Colby Lewis and Matt Harrison back. Now, Matty H. is out for the season. He has to have season ending spinal fusion surgery, that could end his career.

Martin Perez, our ACE... 19 young guys in the league right now have undergone season ending Tommy John surgery, which is what Martin will have soon. This is so sad, for Martin, and for us as fans. He is a fun kid to watch and was on fire the beginning of this season!! He will be missed! Next year kid, next year!

Many sports writers are saying we're "doomed." I say, it's all heart from here on out. My only hesitation is that this is the first year I don't feel like we have chemistry on our team. Before Nolan left, it seemed like our team had fun while playing! They wanted to win like Boston wins, not like the Yankees win. Now that JD is running the ship, Hans Solo style, he's converting us into a Yankee team with the addition of Prince Fielder, which doesn't seem to be panning out so far.

I'm not saying we're doomed, we're 41 games into a 162 game season, but I am saying it doesn't feel the same. No Claw. No Antlers. No chanting players names. No Walk-Up songs that stay in my head for weeks.

I was at the Red Sox vs Rangers game this past weekend, and it wasn't even sold out. The entire Left Field was empty. That hasn't happened in years! Sad. Not sure what to think, but whatever is holding us back from playing RANGERS BASEBALL, I hope we figure it out soon!

We face the Toronto Blue Jays in this next series, then the Seattle Mariners. If we can get our bullpen ready and healthy, we have a decent chance of winning. Alex Rios and Choo are still leading the pack! Cheer them on if you're at a game!

GO COWBOYS!!!

Hopefully you watched the NFL Draft! Here are some of the highlights...

Jerry Jones had the opportunity to take the beloved QB from Texas A&M, Johnny Manziel, with the 16th pick in the 1st Round... Jerry passed on him and took a beast of an OT (Offensive Tackle). Finally, Jerry gets a player we NEED instead of a player that would be fun to have. He drafted other Defensive players that we need and hope will learn quickly and help out this year!!

Dirk Nowitzki ~ Dallas Cowboys Free Agency ~ Texas Rangers ~ Selection Sunday ~ Loveland, CO

GO MAVS!!! 27-36  (wins - losses) Dirk, Dirk, he's our man... if he can't do it... no one can!!!  Well, only 5 other guys can and have.  Dirk is now 6th on the all time list of NBA players to score 30,000 points . This is a crazy accomplishment. He's played over 1,300 games in his 19 year career with the Dallas Mavericks.  His commitment to this team and to our city has been life changing for many. He does a lot in our community through the Dirk's Heroes Foundation . Fundraising and giving grants to non-profits in our community and around the world that are making an impact in the lives of children and families in need.  Back in the day, the Mavs games were fun to watch with the " Three J's " - but we didn't win a lot, and we never thought we would make it to the playoffs consistently, much less to the NBA Finals. ( Three J's: Jimmy Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, Jason Kidd - here's a funn...

Dallas Mavs ~ Texas Rangers ~ Thoughts on the Super Bowl ~ Dallas is Freezing

Dallas  Mavericks 13-14 (wins-losses) I feel like we've been on a rollercoaster with the Mavs, but I like the direction we're going now. As for how NBA and NFL players feel about our cold weather... that's a funnier story. The Mavs longest stretch of losses was six games in mid-January. It was not fun and the team looked confused as to why they couldn't pull out a win.  A few guys have been out, off and on, due to illness or injury, but now they're all back and are rolling. Especially Kristaps Porzingis .  They keep joking that he's playing how he did back in September 2020 when they were in the NBA bubble, before his knee injury. Now that he has healed and is playing more minutes per game, he has been on fire! To see a 7'3" guy drain 3 pointers like he does is amazing. I mean, if he raises his arms, they're already above the rim, so he just has to put the right arc on it and swish. So cool!  His stats vs. the Pelicans in Friday night's victory:...

Rangers lose Game 1

GO RANGERS!!! Rangers lose to the Kansas City Royals, 2-1. Their pitching was spectacular. Our pitching wasn't too bad, but yet again, we couldn't hit against Santana! (that was KC's pitcher) The Rangers are 7 games behind Oakland to win the Division. Clearly we probably won't catch up to them, but we can still get a Wild Card spot if they ever start winning consistently!  Game 2 in KC is tomorrow night - Matt Garza is pitching for the Rangers!  Cheer Loudly!  GO COWBOYS!!! 12:00 PM - this Sunday - St. Louis Rams vs Dallas Cowboys.  Enjoy your family, friends and some football!!! :) "Day of Rest" Random Info: The two teams who have already secured a spot in the Playoffs are:  ~ Boston Red Sox (we used to have Mike Napoli  - he is a great Home Run hitter and now plays for Boston... his beard fits in perfectly there)  ~ LA Dodgers (We like their Manager - Don Mattingly  - he used to play for the NY Yankees back in the day!)  ...
