Dallas Cowboys Preview Week 11 ~ MAVS

GO COWBOYS!!!

Dallas has a BYE this week. They do not play this weekend.

Ladies (since that's kinda who I started this blog for)... this is your one chance to get your husband/boyfriend out of the house until February. Unless he plays Fantasy Football, he will still sit in front of the TV this weekend. Sorry.

Maybe you could get him to run a few errands with you? Download the ScoreCenter App on his phone! He will be fine, except for the Sunday Night and Monday Night games. Sorry, you can't pass up Denver vs. Kansas City and New England vs. Carolina. (Peyton with only 1 loss trying to give KC their first loss and Brady coming off a Bye week to take on Carolina's All-Star Rookie Defense... Game On!!

Christmas is only 6 weeks away... this may be your one shot to get the lights on the house, gifts purchased and the tree pulled out of the attic. Or, since Christmas is actually about Jesus being born and Family... you could start a puzzle this weekend, make homemade cookies and hot chocolate? Family bonfire?? Get creative... isn't that what Pinterest is for!

Or, you could just rest up this weekend? That is what the Cowboys should be doing. We have a lot of injuries and a crazy man running our Team. Every season has felt this way since Jerry Jones became the GM. Why do we still watch the games? No one really knows. I guess we just love football. And we love who the Cowboys used to be. Don't try to change us, joining us is way easier. Ha!

You should get someone in your family a Cowboys Crazy Hat for Christmas!! :) So fun!

Standings... We're batting .500

GO MAVS!!!

Mavs record is... 5-3

~ Dirk Nowitzki had 19 points in the game against the Wizards Tuesday night! This 19 point game put him ahead of Jerry West in the record books as the highest point scoring BIG MAN! :) He is now 16th on the List of players with the most points scored.

If you have free time in the near future... go to a Mavs game!!!

Random Info:
~ Have you ever watched the movie Elizabethtown? So random, yet so good! Has nothing to do with sports, but has everything to do with life! Pride & Prejudice is another great movie!! Classic movies and a total girly moment... sorry! However, since we're only 6 weeks out from Christmas... don't judge me, but I watched Elf for the first time last night!! I could watch it every day and still die laughing!! And I listened to my NSYNC Christmas station on Pandora today at work. Don't worry, I have Bing Crosby and Michael Buble Christmas stations as well! :) Have a splendid weekend!

GO MAVS!!! 27-36  (wins - losses) Dirk, Dirk, he's our man... if he can't do it... no one can!!!  Well, only 5 other guys can and have.  Dirk is now 6th on the all time list of NBA players to score 30,000 points . This is a crazy accomplishment. He's played over 1,300 games in his 19 year career with the Dallas Mavericks.  His commitment to this team and to our city has been life changing for many. He does a lot in our community through the Dirk's Heroes Foundation . Fundraising and giving grants to non-profits in our community and around the world that are making an impact in the lives of children and families in need.  Back in the day, the Mavs games were fun to watch with the " Three J's " - but we didn't win a lot, and we never thought we would make it to the playoffs consistently, much less to the NBA Finals. ( Three J's: Jimmy Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, Jason Kidd - here's a funn...

Dallas Mavs ~ Texas Rangers ~ Thoughts on the Super Bowl ~ Dallas is Freezing

Dallas  Mavericks 13-14 (wins-losses) I feel like we've been on a rollercoaster with the Mavs, but I like the direction we're going now. As for how NBA and NFL players feel about our cold weather... that's a funnier story. The Mavs longest stretch of losses was six games in mid-January. It was not fun and the team looked confused as to why they couldn't pull out a win.  A few guys have been out, off and on, due to illness or injury, but now they're all back and are rolling. Especially Kristaps Porzingis .  They keep joking that he's playing how he did back in September 2020 when they were in the NBA bubble, before his knee injury. Now that he has healed and is playing more minutes per game, he has been on fire! To see a 7'3" guy drain 3 pointers like he does is amazing. I mean, if he raises his arms, they're already above the rim, so he just has to put the right arc on it and swish. So cool!  His stats vs. the Pelicans in Friday night's victory:...

Rangers lose Game 1

GO RANGERS!!! Rangers lose to the Kansas City Royals, 2-1. Their pitching was spectacular. Our pitching wasn't too bad, but yet again, we couldn't hit against Santana! (that was KC's pitcher) The Rangers are 7 games behind Oakland to win the Division. Clearly we probably won't catch up to them, but we can still get a Wild Card spot if they ever start winning consistently!  Game 2 in KC is tomorrow night - Matt Garza is pitching for the Rangers!  Cheer Loudly!  GO COWBOYS!!! 12:00 PM - this Sunday - St. Louis Rams vs Dallas Cowboys.  Enjoy your family, friends and some football!!! :) "Day of Rest" Random Info: The two teams who have already secured a spot in the Playoffs are:  ~ Boston Red Sox (we used to have Mike Napoli  - he is a great Home Run hitter and now plays for Boston... his beard fits in perfectly there)  ~ LA Dodgers (We like their Manager - Don Mattingly  - he used to play for the NY Yankees back in the day!)  ...
