Walk-off Home Run - Rangers Win Game 1

GO RANGERS!!!

HELLO WIN COLUMN!!!! Rangers beat the Angles in Game 1, 5-6! (are you dancing in your PJ's??? you should be!!!

The majority of the Angles runs came in the 2nd inning when our infielders had a few mental breakdowns and had a record 4 Errors! This is not a good statistic to have... they tied some record in Rangers history for the amount of Errors in this game... boo!

HOWEVER... WE WON!!! They were able to pull themselves out of the slump after being down 2 runs going into the 3rd inning.

~ A.J. Pierzynski (catcher - guy who catches the ball behind home plate) - had two hits an an RBI! He hasn't done much in the past month... so if he plans to come alive in the last 4 games of the regular season and give us Playoff hopes... game on!

~ Joe Nathan (closing pitcher - same position as that Mariano Rivera guy I told you about yesterday) - His job is to NEVER... EVER allow runs. Bring the heat! Throw fast balls higher than 95 mph! Be lights out! Tonight... he did just that! Nathan has been clutch for the Rangers for a while - he had a few bad games, but hopefully he's back in action as well! He got us the W... we'll take it!

~ Jurickson Profar - this dude... he came in to "pinch hit" - This means that if he comes in the game... Ian Kinsler (our starting 2nd baseman) would not be allowed to go back into the game if they went into extra innings. They're tied 5-5 in the bottom of the 9th - Profar enters the game for the first time tonight and is the lead-off batter (first batter to start that inning)... he GOES YARD!!!! ("going yard" - means he hit a home run)!!!! Walk-off means he won the game by scoring the winning run and he can literally walk off the field after!!! There's so much more to tell you about Profar - but you need to know this is his first full season with the Rangers!!! Future is bright!

**Talk about it!!! I know we're still one game behind Cleveland, but I really like our chances tomorrow night against CJ Wilson and the Angels line-up! They held Hamilton off tonight, which is a good thing for us!**

**If you're watching the Indians vs. Twins or Rays vs. Yankees - cheer for the Twins and Yankees! We need the Cleveland Indians and the Tampa Bay Rays to lose their next 3 games for us to secure a spot in the playoffs!**

Game 2 - tomorrow night...

Texas Rangers Pitching Line-up:

SEPTEMBER 27, 7:05 PM CT
ALEXI OGANDO - ERA 2.93
Alexi is matched up with CJ Wilson (pitcher for LA) - CJ used to pitch for the Rangers - and as far as I'm concerned - we are able to get inside his head every time he pitches here! IF you're at the GAME (which I will be) - cheer loudly - but don't be rude!!! :)
SEPTEMBER 28, 7:05 PM CT
DEREK HOLLAND - ERA 3.33
Angels Pitcher - Garrett Richards - ERA 4.09
SEPTEMBER 29, 2:05 PM CT
YU DARVISH - ERA 2.82 - CLUTCH!
Angels Pitcher - Jason Vargas - ERA 4.01

Buy a ticket to one of the last games - and do NOT boo Josh Hamilton! Have some class people! And even if you're not going to a game... you should wear Rangers gear to work tomorrow! Show some pride!!

Random Info:
~ In NFL news... San Francisco beat the St. Louis Rams tonight... badly! Not looking good if you're a Rams fan... or a Sam Bradford fan. But it felt great for a fan of Fantasy Football, who just so happens to have Colin Kaepernick in one of her Fantasy leagues... :)

Dirk Nowitzki ~ Dallas Cowboys Free Agency ~ Texas Rangers ~ Selection Sunday ~ Loveland, CO

GO MAVS!!! 27-36  (wins - losses) Dirk, Dirk, he's our man... if he can't do it... no one can!!!  Well, only 5 other guys can and have.  Dirk is now 6th on the all time list of NBA players to score 30,000 points . This is a crazy accomplishment. He's played over 1,300 games in his 19 year career with the Dallas Mavericks.  His commitment to this team and to our city has been life changing for many. He does a lot in our community through the Dirk's Heroes Foundation . Fundraising and giving grants to non-profits in our community and around the world that are making an impact in the lives of children and families in need.  Back in the day, the Mavs games were fun to watch with the " Three J's " - but we didn't win a lot, and we never thought we would make it to the playoffs consistently, much less to the NBA Finals. ( Three J's: Jimmy Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, Jason Kidd - here's a funn...

Over-reaction Monday Week 8

GO COWBOYS!!! Cowboys lose to the Detroit Lions... 30-31 This game was a bit crazy. If you ever wanted to know about football, all it entails and how crazy people are for watching it and loving it... this a great game to watch!  Bottom line...  ~ Detroit Defense - they did a great job stopping our offense. Passing and running. They held Tony Romo (our QB) to 206 yards, which 110 of those were on 2 TD passes. And they held Joseph Randal (our RB) to 14 carries for 26 yards. ( aka... not good ) Ndamukong Suh - Defensive Tackle for the Lions, is a crazy man. Literally. He had his D ready today.  ~ Matthew Stafford - Detroit's QB that is from Highland Park, played for UGA. He played well... The kid threw for 488 yards and had a very sneaky TD at the end of the game to win it for the Lions. Detroit's Offense completed 29 1st downs vs. Dallas' 13 1st downs. ( there are 4 downs in football... which means you have 4 chances to get the ball 10 yards, running or ...

Over-reaction Monday Week 9 ~ MAVS

GO COWBOYS!!! Dallas beat the Minnesota Vikings 23-27! Yaya! We are now 5-4 (Wins -Losses) ! Whew. If you've watched most of the games this season, or any season - you'll know that almost all of them come down to the last few minutes of the 4th quarter. That's just part of sports.  Here are the few "over-reaction" stats you'll need for tomorrow...  ~ Adrian Peterson ( Vikings RB ) - He did what he always does. Run over the defense. He is from TX and had over 80+ fans at the game cheering for him. He also lost his son a few weeks ago to a tragic accident. He looked like he was playing with more heart today than in the past few weeks, but our D held them overall. He did have a spectacular TD run... he is an amazing athlete!  ~ Tony Romo (our QB) - threw the ball 51 times. That is a lot! He only completed 34 of those passes. What does that mean? Well, it means he did well with what he has. He spread the ball between all WR ( Wide Receiver ) options, had ...
