GO COWBOYS!!!
The Cowboys are 3-3... (Wins are always the first number - Losses are the 2nd number) - we're batting .500 folks!
We Beat the Redskins!!! 16-31 :)
This was a great game!!! The Cowboys fought hard, and Tony Romo (our QB) played with a similar intensity as he did last week. (The competition wasn't nearly as pressing, but he still got the job done!) Good job Romo! He was also able to hit all of his WR's again! If the Offensive Line continues to give Romo time (Cowboys fans have been whining about this for years) - he should be able to produce a few more W's! ("W" - Win)
~ Dwayne Harris (WR) - this guy is fast! That's all you need to know. He plays on our Special Teams roster, and returns punts. He is always fast and can juke the defensive players very well. Scored a TD (touchdown) in this game and came close to scoring a second one! Props to Harris! ("Special Teams" - so, there is the Offense, Defense and then the Special Teams roster. These are the players who do the kick-off, punt return, extra point, etc - you can be a Special Teams player and not ever play on the Offense or Defense. Your goal is to play both or get to full time Offense or Defense, usually).
~ Cole Beasley (5'9" Wide Receiver for the Cowboys) - this kid went to SMU and was drafted by the Cowboys two years ago. (To get "drafted" - this is the big production every year where the NFL teams choose new players from college teams) He didn't do much last year, but since Miles Austin hurt his hamstring (again) - Beasley has made an impact on this team! He's fast and runs his routes accurately, so far. Keep it up kid!
~ Our Defense - they played very well tonight with Ware leaving the game! They didn't allow RGIII to score a single passing touchdown! They had great pressure on his Offensive Line all game! Our Secondary (remember, the guys who try to stop the Wide Receivers from scoring) played outstanding as well! Firing on all cylinders this week! Good job fellas!
**Injury Report** This is not a good thing! We do not like injuries!! They slow you down and make you frustrated... ha! Pro Athletes especially dislike injuries! DeMarcus Ware (our main Defensive Player #94) is out this game, due to a hamstring injury. DeMarco Murray (our Running Back - RB) is out this game, due to a knee injury. Let's hope neither injury is serious and that both guys will be back next week when we play the Eagles in Philadelphia! (boooooo - we REALLY don't like the Eagles!) **Injury Report**
We play the Philadelphia Eagles next week in Philly. Boooooooo! This is our least favorite team in the NFL, the NFC East and sports in general. We are tied with the Eagles in our division, so this game will decide who takes the lead in W's! Pre-view to come mid-week!

**Extra**Extra** Most people tomorrow will be talking about the Cowboys, but also the MLB Playoff game between the Detroit Tigers and the Boston Red Sox! They played in Boston, Fenway Park - coolest baseball park ever (in my opinion). One of their players hit a grand-slam in the 8th inning to tie the game and they won it in the bottom of the 9th! I won't take time to explain all of this, but just know it will and should be talked about tomorrow! Click on the link to watch the replay! It's awesome! :) **Extra**Extra**
Random Info:
~ I mentioned the NFL Draft earlier... ummmm, it's the coolest thing ever to attend! When I lived in NYC, I went 3 years in a row! It is so much more fun in person than it ever would be on TV! If you have a husband, boyfriend or a guy in your life that you care about - you should chip-in and help him get to NYC this April for the Draft! (He may have to sleep on the street for tickets, but it's all part of the experience and totally worth it!)

Fenway is a gimmicky ballpark. Soft line drives in every other park are doubles, short fly balls are home runs, and that short wall in right? What's up with that?
ReplyDeleteHey Lindsey!
ReplyDeleteLove reading your blog! I wanted to tell you I looked up all the links you had which were awesome!
Looks like the Draft is in May due to a conflict with the Radio City Music Hall, just fyi!
The 2014 NFL Draft will be the 79th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible football players. The draft, officially called the "NFL Players Selection Meeting", will be held atRadio City Music Hall in New York City on May 8–10, 2014.[1] The draft's traditional timeframe in late April will not be available in 2014 due to a scheduling conflict at Radio City Music Hall,[2] and the NFL plans to continue holding the draft in May in future years as part of a permanent offseason calendar change.
And how bout those former OSU Cowboys? I love Joseph Randle, I think he is a nice guy too!
Love ya!
