Rangers lose to Pirates... SWEEP


GO RANGERS!!! 

Game 3 vs Pirates - Rangers lose... they got "swept" - for that definition - read the post titled "Overreaction Monday!"

Pitching... sad. 
Hitting... sad. 
Defense... sad. 

Player of the Game: 
~ Elvis Andrus (short stop - guy between 2nd base and the 3rd baseman) - he had a couple of good hits - tried to keep us in the game. It wasn't meant to be! 

We are now 2.5 games behind the Oakland A's for the race for 1st place in the AL (American League) West. Oakland plays tonight... cheer for them to lose, it's okay - you won't hurt their feelings! "There's no crying in baseball!"

 There are a few key players we are playing without "down the stretch" (the last month/games leading up to the playoffs). Just tell someone it's Nelly Cruz' fault and see what they say - ha! Bad timing Nelly! (he used to hit a lot of home runs)

Guess who we play starting Friday?? Yup - Oakland... here is the pitching line-up for the Texas Rangers...

 SEPTEMBER 13, 7:05 PM Ct - friday
Derek holland -  3.17 era
Holland is hilarious - he's the funny guy who does impersonations, etc! Oh and he's a good pitcher - well - when he's on he's ON - when he's not on he's NOT ON! We're praying he's ON! 

SEPTEMBER 14, 12:05 PM CT - saturday
yu darvish - 2.84 era 
Remember him... guy from Japan we acquired last year! He is good, had a few tough games... he'll get back on track! Yuuuuuuuuu...

 SEPTEMBER 15, 2:05 PM CT - sunday
martin perez - 3.60 era
He didn't have a great start last time, but he typically pitches well against Oakland! Let's hope this is the case Sunday! 

 Do you remember what ERA means? (it's okay - this is an open book test) 

 If you are going to any of these games... cheer loudly!!!

~ The Wave... this is an interesting predicament at baseball games. I believe the wave was invented when people got "bored" at a sporting event... soooo... don't get bored! Read the jumbo-tron! Buy a $5 program and read it in-between innings! Educate yourself! You don't randomly stand up and wave your hands when you're bored at work... in a ballet... on an airplane... so don't stand up and "wave" at the Rangers Game... :) Clap your hands - yell and high-five your neighbors! "Are you not Entertained??" (Gladiator quote - sorry - it's one of my favorite movies)

Week 12: Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys ~ Staubach's Final Game vs. Redskins ~ Be Thankful

GO COWBOYS!!! 9-1 1st in the NFL  (I've died and gone to Heaven) 1st in the NFC EAST Thursday, November 24th Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys  (home team is second) 3:30 PM CST on FOX Full of hope, I predicted last week that the Cowboys would beat the Ravens by 11 points. We won by 10.  Y'all, this is better than I could have ever hoped for... in my football fan life. We went up against the #1 Defense in the league, threw up 97 rushing yards from Zeke and 301 passing yards by Dak. What? Who are we? GO Cowboys!!! 0-1 (wins ~ losses) New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys ( away team ~ home team ) Sunday, September 16 @ 7:20 PM CST on NBC If you watched the game last week, where we lost to the Carolina Panthers, you have most likely decided to stop watching the rest of the season. It was a rough game. And it makes a lot of people think that first string players should get more reps during pre-season games so your Week 1 game isn't a scrimmage. So, during the " scrimmage ," that was a regular season game, Dak matched Cam Newton ( Carolina's QB ) in passing yards and was pretty close in accuracy. So where did Carolina win?
