Rangers Win - Cowboys Lose

GO RANGERS!!!

HELLO WIN COLUMN!!!! Rangers sweep the Angels in Game 4, 6-2!

Wow!!! What a game! What a series! What a whirlwind!!!

~ Yu Darvish (starting pitcher) - he did well through the 5th inning... he gave up one home run to the prodigy child, Mike Trout on the Angels. In the 6th inning... Darvish started getting shaky and Ron Washington (Rangers Manager) pulled him from the game!

~ Craig Gentry (Left Fielder)... Wow... that kid is doing a great job!!! Defensively and Offensively he is on fire right now! You could walk up to anyone tomorrow and say his name and you should just high five on another!

~ Geovany Soto (catcher) - He caught Yu Darvish today and hit a double that scored a run for the Rangers. He also hit a solo home run in the 8th inning! (Beltre also hit a solo home run)

PLAYOFFS
So - here's what went down... the Cleveland Indians won and secured the first Wild-card spot. The Tampa Bay Rays also won and now have to play us tomorrow night in Arlington for a tie-breaker to get the other wild-card spot!!!

**BONUS INFO** Nelson Cruz (outfielder) - has been on suspension for the past 50 games... he re-joins the team tomorrow night for the tie-breaker game! Let's hope Nelly helps the Rangers to a Victory!!

Tomorrow night's game...

SEPTEMBER 30, 7:07 PM CT
martin perez - era 3.55
vs david price - era 3.39
We have historically done well against David Price when we play Tampa Bay - we better pray this is the case tomorrow night!

**Do whatever you need to do to cheer on the Rangers! We got this! :)

GO COWBOYS!!!

The Cowboys are 2-2... they lost in the efforts today against the San Diego Chargers.

This was just a messy game! The San Diego Defense was able to dominate against our run game! They also kept Tony Romo and our Offense off balance. All while Phillip Rivers (their QB) was perfectly in sync with his team!

~ Tony Romo (QB) - he only threw for 244 yards... he had two great passes to Dez Bryant (WR) for two TD's (touchdowns) but beyond that, there wasn't much to see!

~ Dallas Defense - Sean Lee (linebacker) was able to "intercept" a pass from Rivers and score a TD for Dallas! This was still not enough to help us win, but it is still a positive for the future of our D! ("intercept" - when a defensive player catches the ball thrown by the other team and the team the Defense is on gets the ball) With Anthony Spencer being out for the season and DeMarcus Ware being in an out of the game today... it just wasn't our day today!

They just looked tired, sloppy and not like the Dallas team we've seen in Weeks 1 and 3. We do have a few Offensive and Defensive players injured, but they should still be able to perform up to par!

Next Weeks game...

Denver Broncos vs Dallas Cowboys - 3:15 PM Sunday! This will be an Epic game! Peyton Manning comes to town!! Preview to come mid-week! For anyone who will be at the game... I'll be a bit jealous!

Random Info:
~ The weather is turning colder here in TX! This is great news! Buy some Fall candles, get the firewood lined up and start making chili!!! :)

GO MAVS!!! 27-36  (wins - losses) Dirk, Dirk, he's our man... if he can't do it... no one can!!!  Well, only 5 other guys can and have.  Dirk is now 6th on the all time list of NBA players to score 30,000 points . This is a crazy accomplishment. He's played over 1,300 games in his 19 year career with the Dallas Mavericks.  His commitment to this team and to our city has been life changing for many. He does a lot in our community through the Dirk's Heroes Foundation . Fundraising and giving grants to non-profits in our community and around the world that are making an impact in the lives of children and families in need.  Back in the day, the Mavs games were fun to watch with the " Three J's " - but we didn't win a lot, and we never thought we would make it to the playoffs consistently, much less to the NBA Finals. ( Three J's: Jimmy Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, Jason Kidd - here's a funn...

Over-reaction Monday Week 8

GO COWBOYS!!! Cowboys lose to the Detroit Lions... 30-31 This game was a bit crazy. If you ever wanted to know about football, all it entails and how crazy people are for watching it and loving it... this a great game to watch!  Bottom line...  ~ Detroit Defense - they did a great job stopping our offense. Passing and running. They held Tony Romo (our QB) to 206 yards, which 110 of those were on 2 TD passes. And they held Joseph Randal (our RB) to 14 carries for 26 yards. ( aka... not good ) Ndamukong Suh - Defensive Tackle for the Lions, is a crazy man. Literally. He had his D ready today.  ~ Matthew Stafford - Detroit's QB that is from Highland Park, played for UGA. He played well... The kid threw for 488 yards and had a very sneaky TD at the end of the game to win it for the Lions. Detroit's Offense completed 29 1st downs vs. Dallas' 13 1st downs. ( there are 4 downs in football... which means you have 4 chances to get the ball 10 yards, running or ...

Over-reaction Monday Week 9 ~ MAVS

GO COWBOYS!!! Dallas beat the Minnesota Vikings 23-27! Yaya! We are now 5-4 (Wins -Losses) ! Whew. If you've watched most of the games this season, or any season - you'll know that almost all of them come down to the last few minutes of the 4th quarter. That's just part of sports.  Here are the few "over-reaction" stats you'll need for tomorrow...  ~ Adrian Peterson ( Vikings RB ) - He did what he always does. Run over the defense. He is from TX and had over 80+ fans at the game cheering for him. He also lost his son a few weeks ago to a tragic accident. He looked like he was playing with more heart today than in the past few weeks, but our D held them overall. He did have a spectacular TD run... he is an amazing athlete!  ~ Tony Romo (our QB) - threw the ball 51 times. That is a lot! He only completed 34 of those passes. What does that mean? Well, it means he did well with what he has. He spread the ball between all WR ( Wide Receiver ) options, had ...
