Rangers lose to Oakland... Game 2

GO RANGERS!!!

Rangers lose to Oakland... Games 1 & 2. We are now 5.5 games behind them to get a spot in the playoffs. This is not looking good!

Our Offense wasted Yu Darvish's last 5 starts by not hitting very well! The Pitcher's job is to keep the other team from hitting! Hints, no hitting, no scoring. The rest of the teams job is to HIT and SCORE! Which we're not doing.

If you're at the game tomorrow... once again... cheer loudly... no wave and pray we still make it into the playoffs!

**For a team to make it to the World Series... you have the have the perfect storm of GREAT Pitching, Good Hitting and Good Defense in the Field. (the players in the field are Defense... just making sure you know that... so when they're hitting... it's Offense.)**

GO DALLAS COWBOYS!!!

The Cowboys play the Kansas City Chiefs tomorrow at 12:00 PM!!!

Don't complain about stuff not getting done around the house or errands being run... sit down next to your family, friends or the throw pillow on your couch and enjoy the game!!! Life is so rushed... stop and relish in some pigskin every now and then!

**You can watch chick-flicks any other day, but Sundays! And maybe Monday Nights - and possibly Thursday nights - and Saturday's if you're into College Football - so basically watch those movies February - August :)**

Random Info:
Remember... what other big game are you supposed to watch tomorrow?? Hint - it starts at 3:15PM CST (there are fewer games played at 3:15 - most are played at noon) - it comes on CBS... two brothers - who are both Quarterbacks - on opposing teams... ahhh yes - Denver Broncos vs New York Giants!! This is your opportunity to see greatness from Peyton Manning!!!

High-five someone today! It's Game Day!!! :)

~smile~

GO MAVS!!! 27-36  (wins - losses) Dirk, Dirk, he's our man... if he can't do it... no one can!!!  Well, only 5 other guys can and have.  Dirk is now 6th on the all time list of NBA players to score 30,000 points . This is a crazy accomplishment. He's played over 1,300 games in his 19 year career with the Dallas Mavericks.  His commitment to this team and to our city has been life changing for many. He does a lot in our community through the Dirk's Heroes Foundation . Fundraising and giving grants to non-profits in our community and around the world that are making an impact in the lives of children and families in need.  Back in the day, the Mavs games were fun to watch with the " Three J's " - but we didn't win a lot, and we never thought we would make it to the playoffs consistently, much less to the NBA Finals. ( Three J's: Jimmy Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, Jason Kidd - here's a funn...

Over-reaction Monday Week 8

GO COWBOYS!!! Cowboys lose to the Detroit Lions... 30-31 This game was a bit crazy. If you ever wanted to know about football, all it entails and how crazy people are for watching it and loving it... this a great game to watch!  Bottom line...  ~ Detroit Defense - they did a great job stopping our offense. Passing and running. They held Tony Romo (our QB) to 206 yards, which 110 of those were on 2 TD passes. And they held Joseph Randal (our RB) to 14 carries for 26 yards. ( aka... not good ) Ndamukong Suh - Defensive Tackle for the Lions, is a crazy man. Literally. He had his D ready today.  ~ Matthew Stafford - Detroit's QB that is from Highland Park, played for UGA. He played well... The kid threw for 488 yards and had a very sneaky TD at the end of the game to win it for the Lions. Detroit's Offense completed 29 1st downs vs. Dallas' 13 1st downs. ( there are 4 downs in football... which means you have 4 chances to get the ball 10 yards, running or ...

Over-reaction Monday Week 9 ~ MAVS

GO COWBOYS!!! Dallas beat the Minnesota Vikings 23-27! Yaya! We are now 5-4 (Wins -Losses) ! Whew. If you've watched most of the games this season, or any season - you'll know that almost all of them come down to the last few minutes of the 4th quarter. That's just part of sports.  Here are the few "over-reaction" stats you'll need for tomorrow...  ~ Adrian Peterson ( Vikings RB ) - He did what he always does. Run over the defense. He is from TX and had over 80+ fans at the game cheering for him. He also lost his son a few weeks ago to a tragic accident. He looked like he was playing with more heart today than in the past few weeks, but our D held them overall. He did have a spectacular TD run... he is an amazing athlete!  ~ Tony Romo (our QB) - threw the ball 51 times. That is a lot! He only completed 34 of those passes. What does that mean? Well, it means he did well with what he has. He spread the ball between all WR ( Wide Receiver ) options, had ...
