Over-reaction Monday Week 15 ~ MAVS ~ Rangers

GO COWBOYS!!!

We got beat very badly by the Green Bay Packers. Gave up a 23 point lead, to lose as only the Dallas Cowboys can do!

I have no words. Coaching? A Joke. Offense? A Joke. Defense? A Joke. Why our Owner/GM thinks he can take nobody's and make them into great players and coaches is beyond me. He's not the powerful Oz! He's certainly NOT God (we know He would pick the underdog). So it may be noble what Jones has tried to do, but it's not working. Not if we want to win. I'm all for encouragement, believing in people and so on, but I also like to win. Especially when you have guys playing hard and you can't even run the ball!!! How is that so hard?

Dez Bryant had one amazing catch for a TD. Jason Witten had a TD and an amazing catch up the middle. Dan Bailey was 5 of 5, perfect. Wasted.

Green Bay stole this game! Props to them! They are in position to make a playoff run when they're QB is healthy. Best of luck fellas! Flynn (their backup QB) did something today Rodgers and Favre (last two GB QB's) never did... win in Dallas... and win BIG!

Standings... Ea%les lost today. So did we. Our division stinks. Pathetically we can still make the playoffs if we win out. Do we "deserve" the playoffs, not with this performance, or any of the past few years performances in December! Cheer, or don't cheer, up to you! Either way - you may want to console your friends who are die hard Cowboys fans!

GO MAVS!!!

Mavs record is... 14-10... hanging in there!

~ The MAVS beat the Bucks Saturday! They even played without Dirk! Shawn Marion had a "double double!" What's that, you say? Well... a "double double" is when a player scores double digit points in 2 of 5 stat categories! Marion scored 13 points and had 12 rebounds... double double! If he had 13 points and 8 rebounds - it's nothing, just 13 points and 8 rebounds! ha! :)

~ Mavs play Memphis Wednesday night... they're 10-13 - pretty sure we can take them!!

GO RANGERS!!!

~ Acquiring additional football players for our baseball team has halted with one... so for now... we wait on JD...

Random Info:
~ Normally I'm filled with random thoughts and questions I'd throw into the void... however, after this Cowboys loss, my creativity has left me temporarily. I think I'll make hot chocolate, put Elf on the old TV and work on a puzzle. Getting back to simpler, less stressful times. Life is good!

Dirk Nowitzki ~ Dallas Cowboys Free Agency ~ Texas Rangers ~ Selection Sunday ~ Loveland, CO

GO MAVS!!! 27-36  (wins - losses) Dirk, Dirk, he's our man... if he can't do it... no one can!!!  Well, only 5 other guys can and have.  Dirk is now 6th on the all time list of NBA players to score 30,000 points . This is a crazy accomplishment. He's played over 1,300 games in his 19 year career with the Dallas Mavericks.  His commitment to this team and to our city has been life changing for many. He does a lot in our community through the Dirk's Heroes Foundation . Fundraising and giving grants to non-profits in our community and around the world that are making an impact in the lives of children and families in need.  Back in the day, the Mavs games were fun to watch with the " Three J's " - but we didn't win a lot, and we never thought we would make it to the playoffs consistently, much less to the NBA Finals. ( Three J's: Jimmy Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, Jason Kidd - here's a funn...

Dallas Mavs ~ Texas Rangers ~ Thoughts on the Super Bowl ~ Dallas is Freezing

Dallas  Mavericks 13-14 (wins-losses) I feel like we've been on a rollercoaster with the Mavs, but I like the direction we're going now. As for how NBA and NFL players feel about our cold weather... that's a funnier story. The Mavs longest stretch of losses was six games in mid-January. It was not fun and the team looked confused as to why they couldn't pull out a win.  A few guys have been out, off and on, due to illness or injury, but now they're all back and are rolling. Especially Kristaps Porzingis .  They keep joking that he's playing how he did back in September 2020 when they were in the NBA bubble, before his knee injury. Now that he has healed and is playing more minutes per game, he has been on fire! To see a 7'3" guy drain 3 pointers like he does is amazing. I mean, if he raises his arms, they're already above the rim, so he just has to put the right arc on it and swish. So cool!  His stats vs. the Pelicans in Friday night's victory:...

Rangers lose Game 1

GO RANGERS!!! Rangers lose to the Kansas City Royals, 2-1. Their pitching was spectacular. Our pitching wasn't too bad, but yet again, we couldn't hit against Santana! (that was KC's pitcher) The Rangers are 7 games behind Oakland to win the Division. Clearly we probably won't catch up to them, but we can still get a Wild Card spot if they ever start winning consistently!  Game 2 in KC is tomorrow night - Matt Garza is pitching for the Rangers!  Cheer Loudly!  GO COWBOYS!!! 12:00 PM - this Sunday - St. Louis Rams vs Dallas Cowboys.  Enjoy your family, friends and some football!!! :) "Day of Rest" Random Info: The two teams who have already secured a spot in the Playoffs are:  ~ Boston Red Sox (we used to have Mike Napoli  - he is a great Home Run hitter and now plays for Boston... his beard fits in perfectly there)  ~ LA Dodgers (We like their Manager - Don Mattingly  - he used to play for the NY Yankees back in the day!)  ...
