GO RANGERS!!!
PLAYOFFS!!
Rangers vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Series Lost 2-3
I don't want to talk about it.
Seriously.
We put together the most exciting 2nd half of a season since 2011... and it all fell apart in 3 Postseason games... especially today.
Win or Go Home.
They're coming back to Texas.
And, we'll welcome them! Still cheering! Still supporting our players, because that's what fans do!
We don't wish they would lose. Ever.
Every day in life we win and lose. But the goal is to win.
Sure, we always learn from the losses, usually great things... but that's not what you hope for!
Winning isn't always a score either. It is supporting each other. Being there for your teammate, co-worker, family. Good times and bad.
These players become a family. And we, as fans, are like second cousins, once removed, on their great uncle's side. But, we're still family. And, it works.
One stat from this crazy game today...
The Rangers were the 1st team in History to make 3 Errors in 1 inning of Winner-Take-All Game, we had previously won 11 Cole Hamels Starts. ~ ESPN
Elvis Andrus feels terrible about the errors he made in the 7th inning. Talk about a crazy inning. I think it lasted 53 minutes. Maybe when the sting wears off I'll link you to it, but tonight, it hurts.
Highlight: Rougned Odor made one of the smartest baseball plays I've ever seen! Though it seemed controversial... knowing the rules of baseball is one of the greatest qualities a player can have! To know that he could score on a mis-thrown pitch from the catcher to the pitcher that accidentally hit Choo's bat and became a live ball is crazy!! I wouldn't have thought to do that, from my couch, but still! Wow! That kid is good and I'm glad we have him next year!!
Be nice to those around you who are Rangers fans.
The sun will come out... Tomorrow! :)
(literally, it's still hot in Texas... when will it be in the 70's??)

BYE WEEK
This week isn't the NY Giants... that is on 10/25. Sorry, in my last post I said this week, but clearly we have a break and we need one.
We need more like a BYE MONTH!
(BYE week, is where each NFL team has a break. They get that week off from playing a game. Each week there are 4 different teams on BYE, starting in Week 4 and going through Week 11).
Quarterbacks...
Romo is still out until the end of November. Our biggest challenge is "Who is our starting QB in Week 7 vs. the Giants?"
Remember me telling you we acquired Matt Castle? Well, it looks like he'll be our starter in Week 7. Brandon Weeden isn't too happy about it, but I don't think Jason Garrett is letting him influence the decision.
They want faster reaction time from their QB, and a guy who won't hesitate when a WR or TE is open.
At this point. Change it up. What do we have to lose?
Oh and Tony Romo told Tom Brady after the game on Sunday, "See you in February." I like how positive Tony is about our Postseason chances. Maybe he knows something we don't or just has more hope than we do. After this Rangers loss, I'll need a week or two to get back into positive mode for The Boys.
Wide Receivers...
Dez Bryant is trying to come back in Week 7! Most people with the foot injury he had have taken 8-10 weeks to heal... he had a shot to help his foot heal?!?!? I'm not sure about this. It sounds crazy. I just want him to be okay long term, and I think Week 8 is fine if he's 100% then, instead of 80% and could re-injure himself.
Just my thoughts.

Running Backs...
Y'all... why couldn't we have just kept DeMarco Murray? For the sake of not having a merry-go-round of RB's coming through our door?
Lance Dunbar is injured.
Joseph Randle can't be trusted.
Darren McFadden isn't as good as they thought.
Now they've brought in, Christine Michael and Ron Smith. Both Seattle Seahawks, before they were released. Michael is thought to have more explosive speed and be a more aggressive runner. But, he only had two carries this year.
Bottom Line... Clearly they're trying to send a message to everyone... you're not safe. Play your hardest, your best and make the other players around you better, or... you're on the bench! I'm okay with this. We all need to be challenged in life. Constructive criticism is always welcomed.
Injuries... Romo. Dez. Lance Dunbar. Brice Butler. Randy Gregory.
Fantasy Football... Remember to check your BYE weeks! I left a player in last week that was on BYE. Not smart. But I won my other league by one point because the Green Bay Defense got me 22 points!! Legit!

Seasons Change.
Yes, in sports, but also in life.
One of my favorite movies is Finding Forrester. They speak to Seasons all throughout this movie. It is inspiring!
As Fall approaches and you begin to decorate, flip your closet to your Winter attire, leave the windows open, as crisp air finds it way in... remember to enjoy the moments.
It seems like one day turns into a month, which turns into a season, which turns into a year.
Somehow, it all goes by so fast.
When "grown-ups" used to say that to me as a kid; I didn't believe them. I wasn't a fan of school, so that part of my life felt like forever!
Now, I just tell younger kids... "live long enough."
Seasons are sweet. They can be challenging and take the life out of you at times, but they are important. Every day is important. People are important. Loving them is important. It is an action and a choice, not something they "deserve or don't deserve."
So, I hope you enjoy this season!
I hope you get to see people you haven't seen in a long time. Hug someone you've missed. Laugh a LOT!! And eat good food!!
"Be joyful always" ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
