Over-reaction Monday Week 5 - Texas Rangers Game 5 ~ Ginger Snaps with Milk

GO RANGERS!!!
PLAYOFFS!!
Rangers vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Series 2-2

Game 5. Wednesday. 3:07 PM - in Canada

Final Game!! Win or Go Home!!!

My heart is worn out.

Can't handle anymore games!

We dominated the first game in Toronto.

Survived the second game in 14 innings, with a spectacular finish!

Then... we started two left handed pitchers at home in games 3 and 4... against a team who has the best record in all of MLB vs. Lefty's!

Frustrating.

I'm typically a nice person, but I was at Game 3, Sunday night, and I held back from saying some (not so nice) words to some drunk Blue Jay's fans wearing Dez jerseys!

Stay classy people.

If you're in the opponents stadium... (for any sport

1. Cheer when your team scores. But not excessively.
2. Don't cheer for your defense, it's rude.
3. High five the friends you came with. Don't stand up to all of the Rangers fans around you, throwing your hands in the air, cheering for each player on "your" team. And occasionally yelling out "beer."
4. Please don't drive if you've been drinking! EVER! Especially with kids in the car.

The playoffs bring a different intensity with them.

I hope the Rangers fly to Toronto tomorrow with great intensity and the WILL to win Game 5!!!

It is a MUST WIN game for both teams... whoever wins this moves on to the ALCS!!! (American League Championship Series)

Odds are... Cole Hamels will start! Whew! :) Come on offense!! Get the bats going!!!

Adrian Beltre played today. Hurt. He's awesome!! I just hope he's not doing any permanent damage! We need him next year too!

GO COWBOYS!!! 2-3 (wins - losses)

New England Patriots vs. Dallas Cowboys

We lost Sunday afternoon.

Do not be shocked.

Brady came to town with his spurs on! (More like Louis Vuitton's, but you get the point). They whooped up on us! 30-6.

Their entire team is healthy. Ours is NOT.

I don't think the loss was Weeden's fault. We are down a starting WR, starting RB, and Witten still has sprained ankles and knee.

Their Defense shut-down our run game and forced Weeden to throw. He only completed 26 passes on 39 attempts, and threw one interception.

Positives...

Dan Bailey, our kicker, is amazing. Dude is perfect through 5 games.

Greg Hardy and Rolando McClain did a great job on Defense... in the first half! So did Byron Jones!! He played lights out on Gronkowski for two quarters!! Too bad there are 4 quarters in a game.

Matt Castle is our 3rd string QB... but may start in Week 6 vs. the New York Giants in NY!

Bottom Line...

New York had a great Win this past weekend, but we can hold our own vs. them. No matter who starts behind Center. I mean, we didn't keep DeMarco because anyone can be placed behind this line and score... right Jerry?? Right Stephen??

(crickets...

We need a new game plan.

GO MAVS!!! 27-36  (wins - losses) Dirk, Dirk, he's our man... if he can't do it... no one can!!!  Well, only 5 other guys can and have.  Dirk is now 6th on the all time list of NBA players to score 30,000 points . This is a crazy accomplishment. He's played over 1,300 games in his 19 year career with the Dallas Mavericks.  His commitment to this team and to our city has been life changing for many. He does a lot in our community through the Dirk's Heroes Foundation . Fundraising and giving grants to non-profits in our community and around the world that are making an impact in the lives of children and families in need.  Back in the day, the Mavs games were fun to watch with the " Three J's " - but we didn't win a lot, and we never thought we would make it to the playoffs consistently, much less to the NBA Finals. ( Three J's: Jimmy Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, Jason Kidd - here's a funn...

The Masters, in all its beauty ~ Texas Rangers ~ Dallas Mavs ~ Get Outside

The Masters The ultimate Bucket List item and one of the ones that exceeded my expectations. If you play golf, have a family member who makes you watch golf or take naps to golf, you understand that The Masters is the holy grail of golf tournaments. It is the only PGA tournament that is played in the same location every year, Augusta, Georgia.  Thanks to very dear friends of mine, I had the chance to walk through the azaleas, experience the serenity of Amen Corner and watch the players skip golf balls across the water at Hole 16. If they allowed people to sleep on the grass, I would have stayed forever.  We were there for two days of practice rounds, which is fun because the players are relaxed and cut up with one another. They cancelled the Par 3 Contest, which was sad, but just being there was the most wonderful feeling ever. You can't take phones in, so I even called my parents from the phones at Augusta, just to do so. We also didn't realize you could bring in a real camer...

Week 11: Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys ~ Mavs ~ Gift Guide for Black Friday

GO COWBOYS!!! 8-1 1st in the NFL (I've died and gone to Heaven) 1st in the NFC EAST Sunday, November 20th Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys  (home team is second) 12:00 PM CST on CBS First things first... the Cowboys are playing amazing football right now! Even sportscasters who don't like the Cowboys can't stop talking about them.  I mentioned last week that we are the most balanced team in the league. When your Offense and Defense share an even amount of time on the field, it is easier to stay fresh and productive. If you leave your D out there too long, they're bound to make mistakes. So even with our Offense being as productive as they are, they are still staying on the field long enough to keep it balanced.  The Cowboys have a total of 219 first downs this season and lead the league at Offensive time of possession, 33:39 minutes ( an NFL football game is made up of 4 quarters, 15 minutes each, a total of 60 minutes ).  ...
