Over-reaction Monday Week 3 - Jordan Spieth

GO COWBOYS!!! 2-1 (wins - losses)

Atlanta Falcons vs. Dallas Cowboys

We lost. Badly.

But, we started off great!

1st Half (1st & 2nd Qtr Combined)

- We scored 28 points.
- Joseph Randle had 14 carries for 87 yards and 3 Touchdowns.
- Darren McFadden scored one TD.
- Brandon Weeden was 13/14 for complete passes in the 1st half of the game for 164 passing yards. He only threw 1 interception, which was expected for his first game starting.
- Our Defense was making plays, Church and Carr were all over Julio Jones (their #1 wide receiver).  Sean Lee had one sack on Matt Ryan and we were able to hold Freeman (their running back) to just 2 TD's in the first half.

2nd Half (3rd & 4th Qtr Combined)

- We did NOT score any points.
- I am pretty sure our Coaching staff decided to treat this like a pre-season game. At least, that is what it felt like.

Perplexed. Yes.

Why didn't Randle stay in the game? Yes, Lance Dunbar came in and had 100 yards. But, why? Randle was working. Was he tired? I get it. I'm not a player; I don't really understand.

What happened to Witten? He made a few outstanding blocks in the first half and 6 passes for 65 yards. Where did he go in the second half?

Why did the game plan change? Our Defense started getting tired, because they were on the field too much with someone playing Madden 15 with Julio Jones! Ridiculous! It would be fun to see Dez go head to head with Julio! #Playoffs

I hope our coaching staff re-groups and realizes that the second half of a regular season game isn't the time to slot in back-ups and change the entire game plan. You stick with what is working, until it doesn't work anymore, don't change just because it's half-time.

Being a Cowboys Fan is tiring. But, it's worth it.

GO COWBOYS!!!!

Need I say more.

Wow.

I wish to play golf as well as his right arm does.

(like a tenth of him... get it... it's funny)

I love how he always hugs his family right after a win and says "we" for his TEAM!! So cool to make golf sound more and more like a team sport! Thank you, Jordan!

#underarmour Oh how they lucked out!

~smile~

GO MAVS!!! 27-36  (wins - losses) Dirk, Dirk, he's our man... if he can't do it... no one can!!!  Well, only 5 other guys can and have.  Dirk is now 6th on the all time list of NBA players to score 30,000 points . This is a crazy accomplishment. He's played over 1,300 games in his 19 year career with the Dallas Mavericks.  His commitment to this team and to our city has been life changing for many. He does a lot in our community through the Dirk's Heroes Foundation . Fundraising and giving grants to non-profits in our community and around the world that are making an impact in the lives of children and families in need.  Back in the day, the Mavs games were fun to watch with the " Three J's " - but we didn't win a lot, and we never thought we would make it to the playoffs consistently, much less to the NBA Finals. ( Three J's: Jimmy Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, Jason Kidd - here's a funn...

Over-reaction Monday Week 8

GO COWBOYS!!! Cowboys lose to the Detroit Lions... 30-31 This game was a bit crazy. If you ever wanted to know about football, all it entails and how crazy people are for watching it and loving it... this a great game to watch!  Bottom line...  ~ Detroit Defense - they did a great job stopping our offense. Passing and running. They held Tony Romo (our QB) to 206 yards, which 110 of those were on 2 TD passes. And they held Joseph Randal (our RB) to 14 carries for 26 yards. ( aka... not good ) Ndamukong Suh - Defensive Tackle for the Lions, is a crazy man. Literally. He had his D ready today.  ~ Matthew Stafford - Detroit's QB that is from Highland Park, played for UGA. He played well... The kid threw for 488 yards and had a very sneaky TD at the end of the game to win it for the Lions. Detroit's Offense completed 29 1st downs vs. Dallas' 13 1st downs. ( there are 4 downs in football... which means you have 4 chances to get the ball 10 yards, running or ...

Over-reaction Monday Week 9 ~ MAVS

GO COWBOYS!!! Dallas beat the Minnesota Vikings 23-27! Yaya! We are now 5-4 (Wins -Losses) ! Whew. If you've watched most of the games this season, or any season - you'll know that almost all of them come down to the last few minutes of the 4th quarter. That's just part of sports.  Here are the few "over-reaction" stats you'll need for tomorrow...  ~ Adrian Peterson ( Vikings RB ) - He did what he always does. Run over the defense. He is from TX and had over 80+ fans at the game cheering for him. He also lost his son a few weeks ago to a tragic accident. He looked like he was playing with more heart today than in the past few weeks, but our D held them overall. He did have a spectacular TD run... he is an amazing athlete!  ~ Tony Romo (our QB) - threw the ball 51 times. That is a lot! He only completed 34 of those passes. What does that mean? Well, it means he did well with what he has. He spread the ball between all WR ( Wide Receiver ) options, had ...
