How to play Fantasy Football... for Non-Fantasy Football Players... (yes, that's a real group of people)

Step 1 - Join a League, ESPN FANTASY, YAHOO FANTASY
Step 2 - Draft, phone a friend, let the computer draft for you, etc.
Step 3 - Remember when games are, so you don't forget to set your team
Step 4 - Setting your Roster each week... this is where it gets tricky...

Injuries... depending on which site you're playing on... the players will have a Q, P or O next to their name. This is a good time to click on the little, yellow note icon next to the players name and see what his injury is. Remember, GM's and Head Coaches do NOT care about Fantasy Football and will announce injury updates as it benefits them the most! aka... keeping a players status under wraps until game-time... which is a surprise to the opponent.

Timing... there are Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday games in the NFL!!! So make sure to set the notifications on your Fantasy League to remind you to set your roster before the FIRST game each week. If you only have players that play on Sunday... you can set them Sunday... Friday-Eve and Saturday days that will get you!

BYE Weeks... The first BYE week is Week 4... at least 4 teams each week have an "off-week" - you will need to either pick-up new players to slot them in your roster or use guys on your bench. As you play fantasy for years and years... you try to draft with the BYE week in mind. If your starting QB is on a Week 8 BYE, draft a QB that is not Week 8, etc.

Step 5... Try to win!!! Against all odds!! :)

We play for trash talking rights in my two leagues... it's good enough for me.

POSTSEASON BASEBALL: Toronto Blue Jays vs. Texas Rangers ~ Baseball Etiquette ~ Dallas Cowboys Over-reaction Tuesday

GO RANGERS !!! ALDS PLAYOFFS - THIS THURSDAY It's official... we are playing the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALDS. Dang it. I can't stand the Blue Jays. They have trashy fans. No, literally, they throw trash on the field . And Jose Bautista is a punk. No one needs your bat flippin' drama! And we all remember this... Odor punching Bautista earlier this year. Watch . All the sports people are going to have a field day over this. I bet they wish they had given us the evening time slots now! Except that Toronto's TV ratings don't count, eh? How we win... stay focused. Eliminate the drama. We beat them during the regular season. We can do it again. No hitting batters, no one getting ejected. We need our entire roster in the ALCS. We need to play Texas Ranger baseball. Period. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Games 1 and 2 are this Thursday at 3:30 PM and Friday at Noon in Arlington, TX. Games 3 and 4 are Sunday and Monday in Toronto. ...

Over-reaction Monday Week 6

GO COWBOYS!!! The Cowboys are 3-3... ( Wins are always the first number - Losses are the 2nd number ) - we're batting .500 folks! We Beat the Redskins!!! 16-31 :) This was a great game!!! The Cowboys fought hard, and Tony Romo (our QB) played with a similar intensity as he did last week. ( The competition wasn't nearly as pressing, but he still got the job done! ) Good job Romo! He was also able to hit all of his WR's again! If the Offensive Line continues to give Romo time ( Cowboys fans have been whining about this for years ) - he should be able to produce a few more W's! ( "W" - Win ) ~ Dwayne Harris (WR) - this guy is fast! That's all you need to know. He plays on our Special Teams roster, and returns punts. He is always fast and can juke the defensive players very well. Scored a TD ( touchdown ) in this game and came close to scoring a second one! Props to Harris! GO COWBOYS!!! 6-4 (wins-losses) Dallas Cowboys vs. New England Patriots (away vs. home) Sunday, November 24th @ 3:25 PM CST This is the Super Bowl. The team who has played in more Super Bowls than we'll ever see in a lifetime ( not really, but it feels like it ), is hosting the 6-4 Dallas Cowboys, in New England. We'll take our small victory over another sub-par team last week vs. the Detroit Lions and their shockingly good back-up QB from the University of Florida, and raise you a legendary QB in Tom Brady.
