Dallas Cowboys Preview Week 10

GO COWBOYS!!!

Week 10 Matchup: Dallas Cowboys vs New Orleans Saints (in NO - since they're the 2nd team listed) - GAME TIME - Sunday, 7:30 PM CST

Oh when the Saints come marching in... with Drew Brees.

Drew Brees (Saints QB) - this guy is an Elite QB. To keep it brief, he is a top 5 QB - holds a few NFL passing records and seems like a stand up guy outside of football. He played all last season without his head coach and still went 7-9. He is a leader and someone our Defense will need to put a lot of pressure on! Similar to Romo, Brees always makes a play and finds his WR's.

Saints Offense - Darren Sproles (RB) - dude is playing very well - if he's healthy - he will play this week! Jimmy Graham (TE) - well this guy will tear up our Dallas D if we let him! Must stop Jimmy Graham!

Tony Romo (our QB) - We know Romo can throw. He's proven that he can hit his targets (WR's, TE's, RB's). He will have a lot of pressure from the Saints Defense. The Defensive Coordinator for the Saints, Rob Ryan, was our DC last year. He knows Romo well and will use that intel to attack our Offense from every angle. This will be a tough test for our team! We really need Dez Bryant and Jason Witten to have monster game!

DeMarco Murray (our RB) - He should play this week. He is still not as dynamic as we all hoped, but we have to have somewhat of a Run Game this week. If we use Randal more, I am fine with it. The Saints D is ranked 25th in the league against the Run. Sadly - this is a part of our team no one has faith in.

Dallas Defense - DeMarcus Ware is coming back!!! (This is our "Sack Leader" - means he puts a lot of pressure on the opposing QB and tackles him before he can throw the ball) Our D has had a few great plays this season. They have kept us in the game for the most part, but they have also had some big mistakes. It will take perfection to defeat Drew Brees and the Saints. So, Here's to Perfection! :)

Standings... We are 1st in the NFC East at 5-4 with all the other teams in our division creeping up on us! This game is a must win! We have to stay above .500!

GO MAVS!!!

Mavs beat the Lakers Tuesday night, 123-104!! That's what I'm talking about!

They did lose to the OKC Thunder last night, but that's because Kevin Durant is a beast. We have to find a way to guard him in the future! (near future

~ Dirk is still amazing, Monta Ellis is keeping it real with an avg of 24 Points Per Game, and DeJuan Blair is proving to be a great Center (we got him when we didn't get Dwight Howard - dude who passed us up to go to Houston).

Mavs are 3-2 on the Season... here are the upcoming games.

Also - here is the hilarious Bud Light commercial about Quinoa! It does feature a Philadelphia Eagles fan, so not cool, but it is still pretty funny!

GO MAVS!!! 27-36  (wins - losses) Dirk, Dirk, he's our man... if he can't do it... no one can!!!  Well, only 5 other guys can and have.  Dirk is now 6th on the all time list of NBA players to score 30,000 points . This is a crazy accomplishment. He's played over 1,300 games in his 19 year career with the Dallas Mavericks.  His commitment to this team and to our city has been life changing for many. He does a lot in our community through the Dirk's Heroes Foundation . Fundraising and giving grants to non-profits in our community and around the world that are making an impact in the lives of children and families in need.  Back in the day, the Mavs games were fun to watch with the " Three J's " - but we didn't win a lot, and we never thought we would make it to the playoffs consistently, much less to the NBA Finals. ( Three J's: Jimmy Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, Jason Kidd - here's a funn...

Over-reaction Monday Week 8

GO COWBOYS!!! Cowboys lose to the Detroit Lions... 30-31 This game was a bit crazy. If you ever wanted to know about football, all it entails and how crazy people are for watching it and loving it... this a great game to watch!  Bottom line...  ~ Detroit Defense - they did a great job stopping our offense. Passing and running. They held Tony Romo (our QB) to 206 yards, which 110 of those were on 2 TD passes. And they held Joseph Randal (our RB) to 14 carries for 26 yards. ( aka... not good ) Ndamukong Suh - Defensive Tackle for the Lions, is a crazy man. Literally. He had his D ready today.  ~ Matthew Stafford - Detroit's QB that is from Highland Park, played for UGA. He played well... The kid threw for 488 yards and had a very sneaky TD at the end of the game to win it for the Lions. Detroit's Offense completed 29 1st downs vs. Dallas' 13 1st downs. ( there are 4 downs in football... which means you have 4 chances to get the ball 10 yards, running or ...

Over-reaction Monday Week 9 ~ MAVS

GO COWBOYS!!! Dallas beat the Minnesota Vikings 23-27! Yaya! We are now 5-4 (Wins -Losses) ! Whew. If you've watched most of the games this season, or any season - you'll know that almost all of them come down to the last few minutes of the 4th quarter. That's just part of sports.  Here are the few "over-reaction" stats you'll need for tomorrow...  ~ Adrian Peterson ( Vikings RB ) - He did what he always does. Run over the defense. He is from TX and had over 80+ fans at the game cheering for him. He also lost his son a few weeks ago to a tragic accident. He looked like he was playing with more heart today than in the past few weeks, but our D held them overall. He did have a spectacular TD run... he is an amazing athlete!  ~ Tony Romo (our QB) - threw the ball 51 times. That is a lot! He only completed 34 of those passes. What does that mean? Well, it means he did well with what he has. He spread the ball between all WR ( Wide Receiver ) options, had ...
