COWBOYS 4-3 (wins-losses)
GO MAVS!!! 1-9 (wins - losses)
Have I mentioned Dennis Smith Jr. yet?
Yeah, he's still doing well, and is super fun to watch!
Harrison Barnes is still killing it! He is averaging 16.3 PPG and 6.1 rebounds.
We've lost five games straight, and three of those games had a margin loss of less than 5 points.
There's potential there, but we're not getting the W.
My advice, go to a game! It's got to be way more fun in person.
Watch Dennis Smith Jr. do another crazy dunk.
Random Info
I still have cable. I need access to live sports. If anyone knows a good way around this, let me know.
Until then, I occasionally hear commercials... and there is one commercial in particular that bothers me...
Liberty Mutual.
The one where the girl has a car, and she names it Brad.
What?
Who names their car Brad?
No one names their car Brad.
I've heard of Rusty, Lightning, Sunshine, or Eleanor, but not Brad.
That's like naming your car Mike or Terry.
I guess marketing works, because every time I hear that commercial come on - I dash to the remote to flip to ESPN 2, if I was on regular ESPN (or the Hallmark Channel, but who would admit that). Whew... didn't have to hear her call her car Brad again.
Why does this bother me?
No clue. I am weird.
Other commercials make me cry. Ha!

Sunday, November 5th
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Dallas Cowboys (home team is second)
3:25 PM CST on CBS
What is the #1 question everyone wants to know???
Is Ezekiel Elliott playing on Sunday?
As of Friday morning, yes.
I was walking to a meeting at work this morning, and a guy on my team starts talking about the ESPN update he just got saying Zeke was playing (my phone was on silent), so, I update my fantasy football roster, as I continue to walk to my meeting.
A day in the life of a Fantasy Owner. It's takes effort to keep up. Can I get an Amen!
What is the second question everyone wants to know this week?
Who is Alex Smith?? Who is Kareem Hunt?
Nope.
Is Tony Romo really calling the Cowboys game Sunday?
The answer is yes. It will be his first time at a Cowboys game, in Dallas, since last season.
Most people love listening to him call the games this year because of his ability to predict plays and dissect the game!
For those of us who have never, and will never, be a part of an NFL team... watch game film, run routes, call plays... Romo gives every viewer a front row seat to what it WOULD be like to be that close to the game! I trust he won't give away all of our secrets on Sunday, but it will be fun to hear his commentary! I think he's doing a great job!
Who are the Cowboys playing this week?
Well, it says above it's the Kansas City Chiefs.
Kansas has an NFL team? Nope, Missouri has an NFL team. Kansas City overlaps into Missouri, that is where Arrowhead Stadium is.
This is why Kansas relies so heavily on their Jayhawks to win the Big Dance every year (college basketball)... It's all they have! Just kidding, they're Chiefs fans too.
The Chiefs...
Alex Smith. Their QB. I like this guy. I feel like he's a great QB, and has a good head on his shoulders. He has passed for over 2k yards this year, and is ranked 2nd in the NFL behind Tom Brady.
Who are his go to guys?
He will "feed" Kareem Hunt all day! This is their star RB, same position as Ezekiel Elliott. He ranks 1st in the NFL in rushing yards, 763. Elliott ranks 3rd, with 690 yards. I have Hunt in one of my fantasy leagues (if you can make a trade in your league to get this guy - it would be worth it - they should make it to the playoffs - they are 6-2).
Who does Smith like to pass to? Everyone. Especially Travis Kelce, their TE (tight end), and Tyreek Hill, their star WR (wide receiver).
Defense... Eric Berry was their star Safety. He got injured in the first game of the season vs. the Patriots. Without Berry, they are not doing so well. They are ranked 29th against the pass and 28th against the run. Advantage Cowboys.
The Cowboys...
We have Dak (our QB). We have Zeke (our RB). We got Terrance Williams (one of our WR's) a little more involved last week, which will be good if Cole Beasley can't play this week (he is being monitored for a concussion).
Dez? Witten? We need these guys this week!
Alex Smith is able to out-score us.
Kareem Hunt will try to out-run us.
Kelce and Hill will try to out-smart us.
BUT, our Dallas D, as thin as our roster is this year, we've held it together quite nicely. In our game last week, vs. the Washington Redskins, we held them to 19 points, 263 passing yards, 49 rushing yards and one fumble for a TD.
If our Dallas D can do to Alex Smith and Hunt what they did to the Redskins, we have a chance to win this game! Dak can't turn the ball over, and Zeke has to beat Hunt at his own game. Our O-Line blocked like crazy last week and can do it again!
Everyone, I mean Everyone, is picking KC to win.
But I'm not everyone.
