GO MAVS!!! 38-20   J ust one day after Amar'e Stoudemire made his Dallas Mavs debut  .. we're iced-in in Dallas!  At first, I wasn't fully convinced we needed Amar'e. He's 32 years old, played 12 years in the league, with multiple knee injuries and is quite past his prime ( sound like a German stud you may know ). Cuban acquired him from the New York Knicks and signed him to a one year deal for $487k to back-up Tyson Chandler.  The Mavs are on a 2 game win streak with a big win over Houston on Friday night and a win with Amar'e last night over the Charlotte Hornets. Monte Ellis had 23 points in the game and 15 of those came in the 4th Qtr.  The one nice thing to see with Stoudemire is dunking! Tyson Chandler and Chandler Parsons dunk, but it's not something you see from The Big German ( except with his little exhibition in the All-Star game with Stephan Curry - watch ). All in all, welcome Amar'e to the team!...

This Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday!!!  I know, we're not in it.  However... can I just say a few things about Super Bowl Parties...  At the risk of sound like a dude, does it perplex anyone else about the fact that people wait until the biggest game of the year to invite a crowd of people over, who most likely do not watch football regularly, and expect them to care about any of it?? Invite those same friends to the second game of the season!!! You always get the question... Those aren't even your teams, why does it mater if you watch?  or Who cares, the Cowboys aren't playing anymore.  True. Valid Points. But. It. Is. Still. FOOTBALL.  Don't talk to me during the game, just like every other game this year. Nothing has changed just because it's Brady vs Wilson. GO COWBOYS!!! It's so hard, to say goodbye, to yesterday...  You young kids may not know what song that is, so I'll let them  YouTube it. This season didn't end the way any of us wanted it to. However, it was way better than any of us could have predicted. We finished the season 12-4. Making it to 2 Playoff games, where we should have won the second one, but that's why I've waited a week to write this blog, so my bitterness would fade away. At the beginning of the season, the Dallas Cowboys Defense was expected to be in the bottom 5 in the NFL, we finished the season ranked 19 out of 32, with a great base to build on for next year. I consider that a win.  The Dallas Cowboys Offense finished the season ranked 4th in the NFL! NFC DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF - Dallas Cowboys vs Green Bay Packers (remember, the second team is at HOME) Game Time: Sunday, January 11, 2015 - 12:05 PM (CST)  So many things to talk about and so little attention span from readers. And myself. ha! :)  Weather: 21 degrees and not as cold as Saturday, which is supposed to be a high of 12 degrees Record:  The Green Bay Packers, lead by QB, Aaron Rodgers, is 8-0 at home. GO COWBOYS!!! PLAYOFFS!!! NFC WILD-CARD PLAYOFFS - Detroit Lions vs Dallas Cowboys (remember, the second team is at HOME) Game Time: Sunday, January 4, 2015 - 3:40 PM (CST)  We made it to the Playoffs, for the first time since 2009!!!!  First things first, let's all agree on one thing... Tony Romo ( our QB ) is a different player now than the was back in 2009. I assume personally, we are all growing in maturity, but even more so in his ability as a QB. This is, hands down, his best year ever! Similar to the way Peyton Manning came back from neck surgery last year and... took his team to the Super Bowl!! :)  I believe a few things have factored into Romo's elevated play...  1) Jason Garrett is not the Offensive Coordinator anymore. GO COWBOYS!!! 11-4 WEEK 17 - Dallas Cowboys vs Washington Redskins (remember, the second team is at HOME) Game Time: Sunday, December 28th @ 12:00 PM (CST)  We play the Washington Redskins this week, in D.C.  THIS IS THE LAST WEEK OF REGULAR SEASON FOOTBALL. tears.   Pros :  1. The Cowboys are 7-0 on the road, and this game is on the road. 2. So far, ownership plans to play our starters ( at least for the first half of the game ).  3. We've already made the Playoffs, and this game only helps us get a BYE in the first round ( if we win ).  Cons :  1. The Redskins rained on our parade back in October and beat us 20-17 in OT ( over-time ), so... they know how to beat us.  2. They have a QB complex with RGIII and Colt McCoy , which may prove to be a bit of a challenge for our D. GO COWBOYS!!! 10-4 WEEK 16 - Indianapolis Colts vs Dallas Cowboys (remember, the second team is at HOME) Game Time: Sunday, December 21st @ 3:25 PM (CST)  I called it last week... we are solely FIRST in the NFC EAST!!! We beat the Eagles in Philly. Nothing makes me happier!! :)  Your Dallas Cowboys are now 7-0 on the road ( any game not played at home is "on the road" - just making sure we're on the same page here ). Our home game record is 3-4. This game is our LAST regular season home game of the season.  The Colts are also 10-4 this season. They've already clinched the the AFC South Title when they beat Houston last week. They've made the playoffs and are working their way into a bye week situation.
