GO Cowboys!!! 4-5 (wins ~ losses)
Dallas Cowboys vs. Atlanta Falcons (away team ~ home team)
Sunday, November 18th at 12:00 PM CST on FOX
&
We play the Falcons this Sunday and the Washington Redskins, for a second time, on Thanksgiving Day!
The Atlanta Game...
Offense: Matty Ice, their QB. True name, Matt Ryan. He continues to throw for thousands of yards, to his star WR (wide receiver) Julio Jones. Jones has over a thousand receiving yards and 2 TD's. That's been their problem, getting in the End Zone (where you score a TD and get points). They also don't have much of a run game. Tevin Coleman is their RB (running back) who only has 400+ yards and 2 TD's.
Defense: Atlanta's D has given up an average of 427 yards to their opponents, which is also the exact same amount of Offensive yards they have. But when your Offense can't save your Defense, you don't have balance. Balance is key to any victory, as our beloved Cowboys are figuring out.
How Dallas handles Atlanta?
Pressure, pressure, pressure. Matty Ice only has 3 INT's (Interceptions), but if we can force them to run the ball, we'll have a better chance of shutting down the passing game. We will have to double-team Jones and beat them on the deep ball. His longest reception was 58 yards this season and he has quite a few at 35+ yards. Our Secondary (Defense) has a lot of injuries, but hopefully our guys will play through it and come in strong after this win on the road in Philly last week! Byron Jones should have a big game!
As for our Offense, do what we did last week! Spread out the ball between Zeke, Dak, Cooper, Hurns, Beasley and anyone else who can run and catch! Let's do this!!
If we win this game, it would be our second win on the road. HUGE!
Y'all... we lost this game in Week 7, 17-20 in Washington. This is our rematch and our first home game since Week 9, where we lost to Tennessee, but let's not talk about that.
The Redskins are 6-3 (as of Week 10) and they play the Houston Texans in Week 11. Dallas barely lost to the Texans, who I think will be a tough match-up for the Redskins too!
How Dallas handles Washington?
What's the one secret that is working for the Redskins??
Adrian Peterson. The Tom Brady and Drew Brees of the Running Back position. This dude is 33 years old, pretty old for a RB, and is having his best season since 2015. He seems unstoppable and gave Dallas a run for their money in Week 7. He rushed for 99 yards, but did not score, so that's a win!
Dallas' Defense will have their hands full, as with every game. Getting pressure on Alex Smith, their QB, and shutting down Peterson will be our top priorities. Smith, like Matt Ryan, only has 3 INT's on the season, but he also has 6 fumbles. Dak has 8 fumbles. Defenses know it's not just about intercepting the ball off a pass, it's forcing the QB to lose the ball while being sacked or chased out of the pocket. I assume the Redskins D will have a similar strategy for Dak.
Dallas' Offense: Let Dak call an audible, while not fumbling the ball! Play Action pass and leverage the O-line while we still have a decent one! I know we all miss Travis Frederick, he was our Center, and a darn good one. It's hard to imagine the season we'd be having if he was playing, but we can still do this!
FEED ZEKE. I have no other way to say this. Run the ball. RUN the ball. RUN THE BALL.
There's no point in us "tanking the season." We've already given up our first round draft pick to the Oakland Raiders, and no one cares what pick they get. So let's win now! It doesn't mean anyones job is safe. It just means our guys are still pro athletes who can compete and should compete for how much the get paid and how much effort us fans put into this team. Also, I will be with my Uncle and cousins on Thanksgiving, who are all Redskins fans. We MUST win!

Since it's the week before Black Friday/Cyber Monday and I work in Ecom for a retail company, you're getting a combo blog for Weeks 11 & 12. We play the Falcons this Sunday and the Washington Redskins, for a second time, on Thanksgiving Day!

GO MAVS!!! 7-8 (wins ~ losses)
Don't look now, but the Mavs have won four straight games!!!
Our biggest wins coming from beating the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors. For those of you who don't know, the Golden State Warriors are projected to win the NBA Title every year until Steph Curry and Klay Thompson retire. Speaking of, Steph Curry did not play Saturday night vs. the Mavs. He's out with a groin injury and trying to keep peace in his locker room.
Durant shouldn't have ever left OKC. #thunderrolls
As for the Mavs, we could beat almost any team in the East right now.
In the West, we're sitting under .500, in 13th place out of 15 teams.
Our starters and our bench have started performing so much better in the past few weeks! Our starters are averaging over 14 points per game with Matthews and Doncic leading the pack!
DeAndre Jordan is leading the league in rebounds!! Which is a good thing because we play the Clippers in two weeks, his old team, and I need him to shutdown Tobias Harris and Gallinari!
I'm still not sure when Dirk will be back from his ankle surgery, but he looks good in a suit on the bench. Maybe his coaching days will start sooner than we thought?

Thoughts...
Thanksgiving.
Thanks.
Giving.
I believe that giving comes from your heart, through the ability to see others as equally important as ourselves, if not more so. With no expectations. No guaranteed return on investment (ROI, for you nerds like me).
Being thankful for something is a good thing because it causes you to pause and recognize that life has really great moments and seasons.
It's the tough seasons that are hard to be "thankful" for. To not ball up your fist and wonder why you're in the place you're in, have lost the family or friends you may have lost, or you may not feel like your season has changed at all for a long time.
I know. I've been there. I'm still there to some degree. But I also know, yes, I know, that every season serves a purpose that far outweighs the limited visibility I have to how my life is currently "working out."
I believe that because God allowed me to wake up today, there is a calling on my life to love, to give, to serve, to build up others, to work hard, to share sweet time with friends, family and perfect strangers.
ThanksGIVING is a great time to appreciate and gather around those you love.
But let it also be a reminder to all of us that we can be abundant in our giving too. Time, money, talents, donations and by truly praying for everyone that is on your heart. Don't just say it all, let's put it into practice!
I'll end with this. HUGS, hugs truly are my favorite thing. Not in a creepy, linger kind of way. But one good, intentional hug can cure a weeks worth of stress and craziness. So, I issue a hug challenge to all of you. Next time you see someone who has had a rough week, give them a solid, non-lingering hug. I promise you'll both feel better! "Hugs all around!!!"
