Week 10: Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles ~ It's Cold Outside

GO Cowboys!!! 3-5 (wins ~ losses)
Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles (away team ~ home team)
Sunday, November 11th at 7:20 PM CST on NBC

I was at the game Monday night, when we lost to the Tennessee Titans. Yes, we lost to the Tennessee Titans. Tears.

When we recovered three fumbles and our newest team member, Amari Cooper, scored a TD, I was high-fiving everyone around me and could not have been more excited. Then, it all went downhill. If you like the saying, "It's not how you start, it's how you finish" - you're struggling as a Cowboys fan right now. And have been for the past 20 years.

We have a great game plan for the first quarter of every game. Then we go flat and look like we're lost. By doing this, you leave your Defense on the field a lot. They fatigue and can't hold off the other teams Offense, hence, the Cowboys lose. It's a team sport.

Jerry Jones. He's taken a lot of heat this week from former Cowboys players, media, and just about everyone in Dallas. I know we can't fire our Owner, but he is the only Owner and GM in the NFL. I definitely think he should be fired as GM. He needs to see what can happen when you have an outsider bring accountability into the system. Jerry is accountable to no one.

What could be worse?

We play our arc rival, the Philadelphia Eagles this week, in Philly, and will probably lose.

Despite winning the Super Bowl last year, the Eagles have struggled a bit this season. They're sitting at 4-4, just behind the Washington Redskins at 5-3. The Cowboys are 3-5. And the New York Giants are last in our division at 1-7. Sadly, even if we were last, we gave up our 1st round draft pick for Cooper. Tears, again.

Top 3 Eagles Players:

1. Carson Wentz, QB (Quarterback). He's thrown 13 TD's and 2 INT (interceptions) this season. He's able to run, but is coming off knee surgery. Even w/out Sean Lee, our Defense should be able to get pressure on him. We just have to have enough of an Offense so our D doesn't run out of gas.

2. Zach Ertz, TE (Tight End). He's one of the only TE's worth having in fantasy football, sadly I don't have him on my team. This dude has 644 yards and 3 TD's. The Eagles don't have much of a run game, so they rely a lot on their WR's and Ertz.

3. Golden Tate, WR (Wide Receiver). The Eagles newest receiver, this is his first game to play as an Eagle. He was acquired from the Detroit Lions at the same time Dallas took Amari Cooper from the Raiders. Some wondered why we didn't get him instead, but it is what it is. Our Dallas Secondary has some bad blood with Tate, so look for Awuzie, Jones, Smith and Vander Esch to be all over him!

I HOPE this is a good game. Even when we stink, we play the Eagles harder than anyone because they're a rival and we want to beat them. We also play them twice a year, so you'd think they'd be easier to draw up a game plan against.

One would think... Cowboys 12 ~ Eagles 21

Thoughts...
If you live in Texas. You know it's freezing. Yes, anything below 50 degrees in Texas = Freezing.

Stay warm. Bundle up. Drink a lot of hot drinks. And remember to pray for, and tangibly help, those who are homeless, or don't have enough winter items to stay warm.

If you have extra coats or winter items, The Bridge downtown would gladly accept them and distribute to those in need.

I am sure there are a lot of places near your house too that could use them! Here are a few more places I know of...

Dirk Nowitzki ~ Dallas Cowboys Free Agency ~ Texas Rangers ~ Selection Sunday ~ Loveland, CO

GO MAVS!!! 27-36  (wins - losses) Dirk, Dirk, he's our man... if he can't do it... no one can!!!  Well, only 5 other guys can and have.  Dirk is now 6th on the all time list of NBA players to score 30,000 points . This is a crazy accomplishment. He's played over 1,300 games in his 19 year career with the Dallas Mavericks.  His commitment to this team and to our city has been life changing for many. He does a lot in our community through the Dirk's Heroes Foundation . Fundraising and giving grants to non-profits in our community and around the world that are making an impact in the lives of children and families in need.  Back in the day, the Mavs games were fun to watch with the " Three J's " - but we didn't win a lot, and we never thought we would make it to the playoffs consistently, much less to the NBA Finals. ( Three J's: Jimmy Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, Jason Kidd - here's a funn...

Over-reaction Monday Week 8

GO COWBOYS!!! Cowboys lose to the Detroit Lions... 30-31 This game was a bit crazy. If you ever wanted to know about football, all it entails and how crazy people are for watching it and loving it... this a great game to watch!  Bottom line...  ~ Detroit Defense - they did a great job stopping our offense. Passing and running. They held Tony Romo (our QB) to 206 yards, which 110 of those were on 2 TD passes. And they held Joseph Randal (our RB) to 14 carries for 26 yards. ( aka... not good ) Ndamukong Suh - Defensive Tackle for the Lions, is a crazy man. Literally. He had his D ready today.  ~ Matthew Stafford - Detroit's QB that is from Highland Park, played for UGA. He played well... The kid threw for 488 yards and had a very sneaky TD at the end of the game to win it for the Lions. Detroit's Offense completed 29 1st downs vs. Dallas' 13 1st downs. ( there are 4 downs in football... which means you have 4 chances to get the ball 10 yards, running or ...

Over-reaction Monday Week 9 ~ MAVS

GO COWBOYS!!! Dallas beat the Minnesota Vikings 23-27! Yaya! We are now 5-4 (Wins -Losses) ! Whew. If you've watched most of the games this season, or any season - you'll know that almost all of them come down to the last few minutes of the 4th quarter. That's just part of sports.  Here are the few "over-reaction" stats you'll need for tomorrow...  ~ Adrian Peterson ( Vikings RB ) - He did what he always does. Run over the defense. He is from TX and had over 80+ fans at the game cheering for him. He also lost his son a few weeks ago to a tragic accident. He looked like he was playing with more heart today than in the past few weeks, but our D held them overall. He did have a spectacular TD run... he is an amazing athlete!  ~ Tony Romo (our QB) - threw the ball 51 times. That is a lot! He only completed 34 of those passes. What does that mean? Well, it means he did well with what he has. He spread the ball between all WR ( Wide Receiver ) options, had ...
