The Wild hasn't made it easy on the Dallas Stars this series. A lot of people thought it would be a 4 game sweep, but Minnesota has held their own and kept it interesting.
The Stars are back in Minnesota today, at 2 PM CST for game 6.
Like I've said before, I am not the biggest hockey fan... however, anything in the Playoffs is fun and entertaining.
Since watching more hockey - I have noticed that when any team, Stars especially, have more shots than the other team, we win. Like in basketball.
Most of the regular season, they had twice the amount of shots and easily beat the other team. Clearly you need a good offensive scheme to take that many shots and wear down the other teams defense, but we haven't seen that happen as much in the Playoffs.
I do believe they will win today! Take a break and get ready for Round 2!! Go STARS!

1st in AL (American League) West
So, we battle it out vs. the Baltimore Orioles and break even...
...then we sweep the Houston Astros (who were projected to win our division)...
...and are in a MUST WIN situation today vs. the White Sox to avoid being swept ourselves...
...this is what a 162 game season looks like.
I am super sad because I have tickets to Monday's game vs. the Yankees, which Cole Hamels was supposed to start and go for his 11th straight win!! But, he has groin soreness, which isn't a joke (yup, know first hand). Looks like I'll have to wait and see him start another day... I did get to see him on Thursday, April 14th, so I'm happy!
Adrian Beltre is the life of this team... that dude gets everyone excited and has these young kids playing out of their minds!! He also played his 2,500 game at Third Base... only 7 other infielders have played more games at one position. Can you name them??? Read all about it...
As for our pitching goes... we need to see more from our Starting Pitchers. Especially from the guys who have been with us for multiple seasons. Here are the latest stats, ranked by wins.
Go to a game!!! Spring in Texas is the only chance you have at nice weather for baseball... until we make it to the postseason and play Fall Ball! :)

Deron Williams is out for the season... JJ is still hurt but trying to play... everyone is a bit banged up, and yet, we are still trying to take on the Thunder!
I really miss Tyson Chandler in these types of situations... even if he didn't have the most rebounds in a game, his big presence created just enough fear in the other team for the rest of our team to capitalize on it!
WE NEED MORE rebounds. Now, we're doing a great job getting in OKC face and putting pressure on them. Durant and Westbrook got frustrated in game 4, enough for KD to get tossed!
If we can keep them mad, we can take them out of their game. But, I don't think 89 points is going to get us back in the mix to make it 2-3.
There's always next year.

IT IS DRAFT WEEK!!!!
And I hate, that the EAGLES trade up to second, courtesy of the Cleveland Browns.. If they take a QB, cool, they're a mess anyway, but if the were to take Ezekiel Elliott... I will be mad because I really want Dallas to take him!
I don't think that he will go 2nd... and with everything the Eagles gave up to get to that spot (5 DRAFT PICKS) - they better take more than a RB... even though they have expressed great interest in him.
Honestly, taking Elliott 4th is still a bit crazy... but he's almost too good to pass up. But Dallas needs to many players right now it's not even funny!
DEFENSE - most NFL Defenses play with 5 or even 6 Defensive Backs. We can't compete, not with all of our DB's getting suspended for performance enhancing drugs. So yes, We need DB's... 1st, 2nd, 3rd round... who can we get? Here are the Top 100 ranked players!
But there's so much more to be said than just stats... character plays a HUGE role in sports and in any job. I still hope we get a QB in late rounds, so we have someone to sit behind Romo. But we'll see.
With Stephen Jones, Jerry's son, running the draft now, we've had pretty successful Drafts for 4 years now. And if he gets a RB that could possibly be the next Emmitt Smith, that alone will buy Romo time and balance our offense. Yes, I know... Defense wins championships... just look at Denver!
Either way... DVR the DRAFT or Watch it THIS THURSDAY NIGHT!!! 7 PM CST.
