Dallas Cowboys Week 4 ~ State Fair of Texas ~ Ryder Cup

GO COWBOYS!!! WEEK 4 -  New Orleans Saints vs Dallas Cowboys  (remember, the second team is at HOME) Game Time: Sunday, Sept 28 - 7:30 PM (CST)   So, you may have heard that last year, the Saints destroyed the Cowboys in this match-up! Most of our players are trying to forget that tiny detail and really focus on the game this Sunday. But, the inevitable is, that we are going up against Drew Brees, one of the greatest QB's in the game, and his TE, Jimmy Graham, the highest paid TE in the league. And rightly so.  ~ The good news for the Dallas Cowboys... Tony Romo looked healthy last week for the first time this season. I don't mean healthy, like he can take a snap, but healthy like he was confident and able to scramble better. ( scramble, means he runs around more when the defense is trying to get to him ). He made better decisions and only threw one interception, instead of 3! Huge win for Romo,  and his confidence helped us come back from ...

Tribute to NYC ~ Dallas Cowboys Week 3 ~ Rangers Roll

GO COWBOYS!!! WEEK 3 -  Dallas Cowboys vs St. Louis Rams  (remember, the second team is at HOME) Game Time: Noon (CST)   RECORD (1-1) So, clearly I need to be out of Dallas when the Cowboys play and not watching the game. They won last week against the Tennessee Titans, while I was out of town, so it must be me, right? Hey Jack - it's only crazy if it doesn't work.  This weeks game... ~ DeMarco Murray ( our Running Back - RB ), game on!!! He ran for 167 yards against Tennessee and had 1 TD. Not only was this good for my fantasy team, but it was great for Tony Romo. He knows he has a backup plan and doesn't have to scramble or make poor throws on third down. It has been far too long since we've had a running back that can be trusted to move the chains and drive the momentum of the game like Emmitt Smith did in the 90's. ( "move the chains" - refers to the guys on the sideline that hold the orange markers for every 10 yards. When the refer...

Dallas Cowboys Week 2 ~ Cold Front in TX

GO COWBOYS!!! WEEK 2 - Dallas Cowboys vs Tennessee Titans  Game Time: Noon (CST)   (remember, the second team is at HOME) The game this Sunday...  We heard a lot of talk from Romo ( QB ), Garrett ( Head Coach ), almost all of the offense, saying they need to play smarter, make better decisions and execute what they do in practice.  We agree.  As fans, we sit on the sidelines with no option of ever playing in this game we love so passionately. We don't have any real control over what happens or doesn't. We just yell at our TV's, our tablets and any device that streams the Watch ESPN app and expect it to change the outcome! ( same as yelling at your golf ball when you tee off and it's going dog leg left, when it's really a dog leg right - it's only crazy if it doesn't work, right? )  Week 1 is always a tough week. It's the first game where everyone gets acclimated and their body has to deal with the shock of what they've chosen to do ...

Overreaction Monday Week 1 ~ Ron Washington ~ Derek Jeter Day

GO COWBOYS!!! WEEK 1 - Dallas lost to San Fransisco 28-17 Record 0-1 (wins are the first number, losses are clearly the second) That score may not look as bad as it felt. If you watched the game, you saw this, but here are a few stats... ~ Tony Romo ( QB - quarterback ), threw 281 yards, but had 3 interceptions and only 1 touchdown. He didn't seem to be in pain ( his bad back ), so he either had a hard time playing his first full game since surgery, or his WR's just can't get on the same page. Either way, they need to figure it out!  ~ Dez Bryant ( WR - Wide Receiver ), left the game due to dehydration. Who are you, LeBron James? Is this the NBA Finals? Dude, drink pedialyte and get in the game. Devin Street did a good job filling in while Dez was on a break. Terrance Williams scored our only passing TD ( touchdown ). Devin Harris had a decent punt return, but dropped a few passes from Romo. Not their day.  ~ DeMarco Murray ( RB - Running...

College Football ~ Dallas Cowboys Week 1

COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!! Oh how I love waking up on Saturday mornings to College Gameday, eating French toast and sitting on my couch... I am not one to "relax" well, but during football season, it's my Sabbath! I take it to heart that there are many entertaining games on TV all day Saturday ( and Sunday )! Absurd! You say? How many hours do you spend watching Netflix or Amazon Prime? Yeah... no judgement here. This is a "freely choose your passion" zone . I'm not encouraging anyone to deny human interaction or commitments during football season. I am simply suggesting that you take a few weekends to enjoy watching Florida State , Texas A&M , Oregon , Oklahoma State , Florida , Michigan , North Texas , to name a few! ( ha - I went to UNT - caw, caw )  The games were SO GOOD this past weekend... you have to take some time to pick a game (they are also on Friday nights and some Thursday nights), and just enjoy the moment! Or, buy tickets to a game!...
