GO RANGERS !!! 32-33 10th in the AL (American League) 3rd in the AL West (12 games behind the Houston Astros) Let's Go Rangers!!!  Watching the Rangers this past week was far better than watching the NBA Finals! It was more exciting, my team was winning, and it had nothing to do with Lebron or KD.  We won 5 out of 6 games on the road. We swept the Washington Nationals, currently 4th place in the NL, and won two out of three games vs. our rival Houston Astros. They are still in first place in the AL. The closest team is the New York Yankees, only 5 games back.  One name you need to know after this road game series...  Austin Bibens-Dirkx ... he's a 32 year old rookie, worked his whole life to play in the majors, gets called up, and wins the first two starts he has for the Rangers.  His performance in Washington on Sunday was clutch. He started off allowing a 386 foot home run to Goodwin... then he locked it in. He pi...

MEMORIAL DAY Before we get to sports, please choose to stop and remember and honor all of those who have served our country and are currently serving our country.  There are many great organizations that are doing remarkable things to honor these men, women and their families.  If you are able to join with Carry the Load, they are giving all of us an opportunity to walk with them and help them carry on the memory of those we all have loved, and most often lost. If you can't walk, you can always donate to the work they are doing.  P lease watch this 2 minute video about the gentleman who started Carry the Load, Clint Bruce . He has a simple message with a powerful reminder that we should all be carrying the memory of our soldiers, known and unknown.  My Uncle, that served in the U.S. Air Force, and my grandfather's are no longer with us. None of them died in battle, but it is still hard that they are gone. They all gave up ...

GO RANGERS !!! 19-20 8th in the AL (American League) 2nd in the AL West (7.5 games behind the Houston Astros) What's happening???  The Rangers have been on a 6 game win streak!  Our pitchers have been bringing their A-game! I mean, Martin Perez always does at home, but for real... dude had a great game on Thursday night vs. the San Diego Padres. He only had three strikeouts (K's), but he was pitching 96 MPH in the first 6 innings. Sam Dyson came in to close and get the W, but it was good to see our guys keeping the heat all game! Offensively... we are rollin'...  ~ We have 7 guys batting over .200, Elvis is leading with .289.  ~ Joey Gallo is leading the team with 12 home runs, tied for 2nd in the American League. ~ Gallo also has 27 RBI's... ironically, Nelson Cruz leads this stat in the AL with 31 RBI's. Oh how we miss you Nelly ( he used to be a Texas Ranger - Game 6... it's like saying Buckner to a Red Sox fan, but I s...

GO RANGERS !!! 10-13 13th in the AL (American League) Last in the AL West DO IT FOR DURRETT 2017 If you don't know who Richard Durrett is, he was a writer for the Texas Rangers. He sounds like an amazing man, and so many of his sports colleagues and players he covered think the same thing. Click here to read a few short articles and watch a clip about Richard's life and the family he left behind.  His beautiful wife started this foundation and has partnered with the Texas Rangers Foundation to make this event bigger and help more families in need.  Why am I posting about this? Well, I love baseball, yes, but I love people more.  A beautiful woman, Lindsay Pugh, attends church with my parents in Rockwall, TX. My best friend and I met her on a trip to Kenya in 2013, where we traveled for two weeks to orphanages, slums, schools and churches. All to see hearts changed and tangibly meet the needs of others. Lindsay did this with a sm...
