Dennis Smith Jr. is still our bright spot in this 5 loss start. Our rookie is averaging 13.5 points per game and Leads in assists, 6.3 per game.
After the World Series is over, I'll get more invested in b-ball. I can only handle so much sports stress/enjoyment.

Yu Darvish.
He did not do well in Game 3 of the World Series.
For his sake, I wanted him to do well, and for the sake of Kershaw, but I'm not shocked at the outcome.
However, it just drives the nail in deeper that Nolan Ryan went to Houston, and made the bold trade for Verlander, while the Rangers only acquire more and more outfielders and first basemen. When Nolan was with the Rangers, he dealt for Cliff Lee. Lee lost both games he pitched during the World Series in 2010, when we faced the San Francisco Giants, but it was a gutsy move! I like that.
No more moneyball... get good pitchers please!!

Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins (home team is second)
3:25 PM CST on FOX
The Cowboys took care of business on the road vs. the Los Angeles Rams!! We won 40-10.
But this win did not come without a cost.
Dan Bailey, our perfect kicker (7 for 7 this season), injured himself in the first half. He will be out at least four or five weeks with a groin strain. No fun. But it did allow for Jeff Heath to play multiple positions. He has the longest kick for a non-kicker since 1979.
Our new kicker is Mike Nugent. He's a 35 year old veteran who has stayed in playing shape. He won't be Dan Bailey, but we know that Bailey will be cheering him on as he heals.
The Washington Redskins...
The team my Uncle and Cousin cheer for. Ugh. They "should'a been a cowboy."
Now that I have you singing in your head... here are the 3 things you need to know about the game this week. Aside from the fact that the Redskins are an NFC East Division rival, just like the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants.
1. Both the Redskins and the Cowboys are 3-3 (wins-losses). However, within our division, the Cowboys are 1-0, we beat the Giants. And the Redskins are 0-2, getting beat both times by the Eagles. Advantage Cowboys.
2. The run game. Ezekiel Elliott ran for 147 yards and two TD's (touchdowns) in our victory over San Francisco. This was his best game all year! Even with his "suspension" looming over him (I'm ready for this part to be over), he is playing in this weeks game. Can the Washington D stop Elliott? They are better against the run, holding RB's (Running Backs) to only 94.5 per game, on average. But Elliott isn't your normal RB. I say he has another 100 yard game, minimum. Advantage Cowboys.
3. Our Dallas Defense. We are still pretty banged up and have a lot of guys injured. Our secondary can play well, but they don't have the experience or stamina to last an entire game. This is where the Redskins will strike. They do not have a solid RB, so they will rely heavily on the passing game. Kirk Cousins, their QB, loves to target Chris Thompson, but he injured his toe last week. Slight advantage Redskins.
Even with our Secondary (guys on Defense who guard Wide Receivers, WR's) issues, I still believe we will be able to win this chess match. Our Offense is too strong right now to let the Redskins beat us. Even if they are able to shut down the running game, we will be able to get Butler, Witten, Beasley and Dez involved. Maybe a Williams pass here or there.
