GO COWBOYS!!! 2-6 (wins - losses)
Sunday, November 15th
Dallas Cowboys vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (home team is second)
12:00 PM CST on FOX
No Tony Romo. No Sean Lee. No Back-Up QB that can win. Jason Witten is still playing injured, but he's Jason Witten. Dez is playing with pride injuries. Our Defense is pretty banged up and our Offense is hoping that McFadden can stay healthy as our starting RB.
6 straight losses by a Margin of 6.2 points per game (if you extract the Patriots game... we knew we were going to lose that... if you add it in, it bumps the average margin to 9 points per game).
Where do we go from here?
I like to sing the song from the Lion King... Zazu, the bird... he's trapped in the cave with Scar and sings... "Nobody knows the troubles I see, nobody knows my sorrows..."
I won't overreact. I am not a player, I am a fan. As a fan, we are all together in this. Remember, this team is a family and we are their distant cousins, once removed, on their aunts side.
With Thanksgiving and Christmas approaching... you may have to see relatives or friends you aren't as close with or have had a tiff with. Well... welcome to the Cowboys locker room and their fan base. We're all sticking together, in hopes that Romo returns soon, and something amazing will happen. Have hope people! (not ultimate hope in football, that would be sad... just fun hope)
BUT, if Romo can't return this week or for Thanksgiving... is it bad to hope we lose out and get great draft picks? I know there was an article this week that Romo will help Jerry Jones pick his replacement when they're ready. That is cute and all, but we may need to think of that now instead of amending a will.
I said last year, when we got rid of DeMarco Murray, I REALLY wanted Stephen and Jerry to get Ezekiel Elliot from Ohio State in the 2016 NFL Draft. Well, maybe we will be in a place to do that. Sadly enough.
Bottom Line... We are flying into Tampa Bay to play a 3-5 Buccaneers team. Their QB is First Round Draft Pick, Jameis Winston, from Florida State. He can throw, he can run, but he can also throw 7 interceptions in a season! He has played 4 games without interceptions, but our D will still attack their passing game! Barry Church is injured, but Jones and Wilcox will handle it. If they can rattle Winston and break his no INT streak... I think it will give us the momentum shift we need on Offense to make plays and own the clock! Game control is the focus for our coaching staff and veteran players. We got this!
Injuries... Tony Romo. Brice Butler. Barry Church. For Tampa Bay... a lot of their Defense is out... advantage Cowboys Offense.
Fantasy Football... What is happening to Green Bay!?!!?!? The Packers Defense got me -4 points last week. Yes, minus 4 points! They were rockin' it this whole season with 14 or 17 points each week. Aaron Rodgers hasn't looked himself either. I am a fan of the cheesehead nation and how they run their team, fan base, etc... but for the sake of Fantasy Football... figure it out! :)

GO MAVS!!! 6-4
It is a common occurrence to rest players in the NBA throughout the season, especially in back to back games. This used to not be the case. It was full throttle, every night, best players win. Now, it's like long distance running. It's not anything baseball hasn't done, but baseball plays 162 games, where in basketball it is 82 games. (Basketball is more taxing on the body, with running, etc. I guess that is where they justify it).
Tonight, The Mavs rested Dirk Nowitzki, Wesley Matthews and Chandler Parsons. I figure these guys deserve it after all of the energy it took to defeat DeAndre Jordan and the LA Clippers Wednesday night! The Clippers defeated the Mavs in our second game of this season, in LA. When they came to Dallas... it wasn't that easy for them to score, and our crowd had a bit to do with that.
I'm not a fan of yelling profanity at players. It reminds me of stories I've heard about Eagles fans... it's just classless. I've booed an umpire before and a ref... but there's no need to yell hateful phrases. The dude knows you don't like him. You can boo him, but don't heap coal on his head. He's an LA kind of guy, we didn't need him in Dallas anyway.
Let it go... let it go... can't hold him back anymore... let him go, let him go... turn away and slam the door... I don't care where you're going to play... let the storm rage on... the Mavs are gonna win anyway...

The only time I've ever been to Paris was with my family. 2005. It was wonderful! Probably because I love being with my family, but also because Paris is just beautiful! One of my favorite life memories was there, with a small trio and an accordion, singing La Vie en Rose to me for my birthday song, at a restaurant in Montmartre. My dad caught it on video, and it is something I cherish to this day.

Real people, in France, Syria, Germany, the United States of America, and so many other countries are being attacked by Evil. There is no other way to put it. Evil men have given themselves over to hatred and become so narrow minded that they are breeding a generation of extremists that are willing to commit suicide for a god that is NOT a loving god.
I am a Christian. I believe in the One True God. He is not the god these men serve. 1 Peter 3:8-22 would not exist for the god ISIS serves. John 3:17 wouldn't exists. Yes, there are horrific events that take place in the Bible, but they are not this. God gives us choices, but does not breed hatred of others that are unlike you. Love your neighbor as yourself, Leviticus 19:18. Pray for your enemies, Matthew 5:38-48. None of this is to obtain perfection, but to live a life of love.
I'll stop preaching here. But, I think it is important to pray for those who have been directly attacked, lost loved ones and are struggling with understanding why, how, and will this happen again? I think we are all struggling with those questions.
We need to be aware, attentive and praying for our government leaders as they make decisions in the upcoming hours and days. Pray for our military as they protect us as a nation, a people, and a world of lives unworthy of saving, but how grateful we are for their service and sacrifice.
I do not live in fear. Neither should you!
I pray you live in peace and are able to comfort those around you. Love them well and be strong! Joshua 1:9
