GO COWBOYS!!! 8-4
WEEK 14 - Dallas Cowboys vs Chicago Bears
(remember, the second team is at HOME)
Game Time: Thursday, December 4th @ 7:25 PM (CST)
I know what you're thinking... Peter Pan is live on TV that night. You are right!! That is what DVR is for. We do not DVR live sports, so you're going to have to venture to Neverland on Friday night. Channel your inner Peter Pan and never grow up!! Life is far too short to be a boring adult or a Pirate.
Should we recap the game last week? Where we lost to the dreaded Eagles? It was terrible. Like the way Charles Barkley says "turrible." Our Defense stunk. Our Offense stunk. Philly was ranked 30th in the league against the run and for some reason, we didn't use Murray for more than 73 yards.
On to this week. Week 14. We have two games left after this one in the Regular Season. Tears...
We are playing Da Bears. Jay Cutler is their QB. If you google him, interesting photos come up. He fit in very well in Denver, where he played his first few seasons. He is known for having a gun slinger of an arm, but is also most known for throwing interceptions. Not the best stat to have, but he makes up for it with big plays and great comebacks.
The Bears are 5-7 this season. And will be 5-8 after Thursday night. The Cowboys are 5-0 on the road this season. They'll be 6-0 after Thursday night.
The Bears have a banged up Offense. Their #1 WR, Brandon Marshall, has been injured most of the season. He made a slight comeback against Detroit last week, but not enough to help the Bears win. Alshon Jeffery and Martellus Bennett are the other two targets Cutler has in his arsenal. These guys are both "injured" - but by week 14 - everyone in the NFL is questionable. They play through pain. That's what makes them tough! And worth millions.
The Boys... we used to have Bennett on our team. He came out of A&M, we know this guy, how he plays, so our D should be much more prepared than they were for the Eagles. As long as Carr, Scandrick and Church get in Cutler's head. We should be good!
Bottom Line: The Cowboys Defense has to step up! We can't take this confused look on their faces when we're knocking on the door to the Playoffs! The Eagles are 1st in the NFC East, which puts us at 7th in the NFC. We need a lot of things to go our way the next three weeks. Winning out would certainly help! If our D does what they did at the beginning of the season, Romo and our Offense will rise to the occasion. Why? Because that's what men do. They meet the challenge head on and play up to the competition!
Fantasy Football Update: I'm sitting at 8-4 in my Family League. You know, the one where I have to beat my Uncle. Or at least someone in my immediate family has to win this year! The trophy has been to Kerrville one to many times! :) In my work league, I'm sitting at 7-5, but it's through ESPN and it has the conferences. Not my favorite. I'm going to miss the playoffs because I'm in the better conference. Point goes to Yahoo Fantasy Football on this one.

GO MAVS!!! 13-5
Three game win streak!!! Monte Ellis is still leading the team with an average of 19 points per game. When Dirk is healthy, he can crank out 30 points a game!
Remember... after the Super Bowl (February 1st), the NBA gets the spotlight and the players play like it! Right now, they're tweeting about the College Football games and NFL top plays. We all love sports!
