The Masters ~ Mavs ~ Rangers

The Masters

BUBBA WATSON WINS THE MASTERS!! (for the second time)
This was an amazing tournament! It always is. Bubba Watson, one of my favorite players, won in Bubba fashion. This guy has never had a golf lesson, which if you know anyone who plays golf, they've probably spent a lot of money trying to "perfect their swing." Bubba is all natural and inspiring to those of us who aren't conventional in golf or in life! (Follow him on Twitter @bubbawatson

As for Jordan Spieth, he is a young kid from Dallas, TX, who attended Jesuit Prep School and learned to play golf at Brookhaven Country Club. At only 20 years old, he finished tied for 2nd in his first major championship tournament, and is the youngest player to do so. Basically, this dude has a bright future and will be fun to watch in the years to come. Maybe he'll be the Johnny Manziel of Golf?? Except Jordan goes to UT, not A&M. (Follow him on Twitter @JordanSpieth)

Time to play more GOLF!! The weather is perfect.

GO RANGERS!!!

6-6 (Wins - Losses) They went 1-3 against the Boston Red Sox, and 2-3 against the Houston Astros.

Today, Martin Perez pitched a GREAT game! He has won all 3 games he has pitched, which we need in our rotation!!! (pitching rotation, the guys that pitch, they rotate, literally - ha!

The Rangers start a 4 game series tomorrow night against the Seattle Mariners, then a 3 game series against the Chicago White Sox. One exciting thing is, I'll be at the game! First of the season for me! Oh, and Colby Lewis will pitch his first game at The Ballpark since his elbow injury in 2012. This makes me a little nervous, only because I don't remember him being "up to par." (golf idiom) But - it will be good to see him.

~ Seattle Mariners are siting at 6-5 and are off to a good start this season. Felix Hernandez pitches Wednesday night vs. Yu Darvish. If you watch any game of this series, watch this game. Hernandez is 3-0 this season and has a good history against the Rangers. Another player to watch for is, Robinson Cano. He is in his first season with the Mariners, he played 9 seasons with the New York Yankees before this year! Dude is batting .333, which is good!

~ Chicago White Sox are sitting at 7-6. Good news, their pitching is kind of like ours. But they're finding ways to win, as are we! Alexi Ramirez is their top player... bating .420 (yes - that is better than the .333 of Cano). Goal for the Rangers, do not allow runners on base when Alexi is up to bat. We can handle a solo home run, but not a grand slam.

GO COWBOYS!!!

NFL DRAFT... Thursday May 8 - Saturday May 11

Random Info:
Two guys who finished in the Top 10 at The Masters had on mint green shirts. One of them being Dallas' beloved, Jordan Spieth and the other being Matt Kuchar.

Nothing wrong with mint green, but if you plan on winning a Masters Green Jacket, at least try to coordinate!

Advantage Bubba Watson! #DreamBig #Masters #aesthetics #visualize

Dirk Nowitzki ~ Dallas Cowboys Free Agency ~ Texas Rangers ~ Selection Sunday ~ Loveland, CO

GO MAVS!!! 27-36  (wins - losses) Dirk, Dirk, he's our man... if he can't do it... no one can!!!  Well, only 5 other guys can and have.  Dirk is now 6th on the all time list of NBA players to score 30,000 points . This is a crazy accomplishment. He's played over 1,300 games in his 19 year career with the Dallas Mavericks.  His commitment to this team and to our city has been life changing for many. He does a lot in our community through the Dirk's Heroes Foundation . Fundraising and giving grants to non-profits in our community and around the world that are making an impact in the lives of children and families in need.  Back in the day, the Mavs games were fun to watch with the " Three J's " - but we didn't win a lot, and we never thought we would make it to the playoffs consistently, much less to the NBA Finals. ( Three J's: Jimmy Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, Jason Kidd - here's a funn...

Over-reaction Monday Week 8

GO COWBOYS!!! Cowboys lose to the Detroit Lions... 30-31 This game was a bit crazy. If you ever wanted to know about football, all it entails and how crazy people are for watching it and loving it... this a great game to watch!  Bottom line...  ~ Detroit Defense - they did a great job stopping our offense. Passing and running. They held Tony Romo (our QB) to 206 yards, which 110 of those were on 2 TD passes. And they held Joseph Randal (our RB) to 14 carries for 26 yards. ( aka... not good ) Ndamukong Suh - Defensive Tackle for the Lions, is a crazy man. Literally. He had his D ready today.  ~ Matthew Stafford - Detroit's QB that is from Highland Park, played for UGA. He played well... The kid threw for 488 yards and had a very sneaky TD at the end of the game to win it for the Lions. Detroit's Offense completed 29 1st downs vs. Dallas' 13 1st downs. ( there are 4 downs in football... which means you have 4 chances to get the ball 10 yards, running or ...

Over-reaction Monday Week 9 ~ MAVS

GO COWBOYS!!! Dallas beat the Minnesota Vikings 23-27! Yaya! We are now 5-4 (Wins -Losses) ! Whew. If you've watched most of the games this season, or any season - you'll know that almost all of them come down to the last few minutes of the 4th quarter. That's just part of sports.  Here are the few "over-reaction" stats you'll need for tomorrow...  ~ Adrian Peterson ( Vikings RB ) - He did what he always does. Run over the defense. He is from TX and had over 80+ fans at the game cheering for him. He also lost his son a few weeks ago to a tragic accident. He looked like he was playing with more heart today than in the past few weeks, but our D held them overall. He did have a spectacular TD run... he is an amazing athlete!  ~ Tony Romo (our QB) - threw the ball 51 times. That is a lot! He only completed 34 of those passes. What does that mean? Well, it means he did well with what he has. He spread the ball between all WR ( Wide Receiver ) options, had ...
