I guess the Rangers just needed a little boost... they have won 7 of their last 8 games. SWEEPING the New York Yankees!! (sweep, means to win every game in the series, 3 of 3 in this case).
In the three games vs. the Yankees, the Rangers scored 30 runs!!! 30 runs!!! What?!?! Who are we watching? It's like every guy on the roster has come to life! Even Fielder!
Hitting... Fielder, Choo, Moreland, Beltre, DeShields... these dudes are on FIRE! Fielder is batting .365, with 9 HR's and 35 RBI's. He hit his 297th Home Run earlier today. I know I've stated before that I'm not a fan of his type of first baseman, but I'll take him as my DH, since we had to get rid of Nelson Cruz. #fieldergoesyard
There's one guy I've always stuck by on this team... that JD hasn't gotten rid of... Mitch Moreland. Year after year, I say it's "going to be his year." So, this may actually be it!! Stats: Batting .309, 4 HR's, 17 RBI's, and .374 OBP. (HR = Home Runs, RBI = Runs Batted In, OBP = On Base Percentage). He helped us beat Boston and then starting things off right with the Yankees! Those were some crazy games!! We almost run ruled them on Saturday, winning 15-4. Feels good!
Pitching Leaders... 4 Wins, Colby Lewis. 1.96 ERA, Nick Martinez. 44 Strikeouts, Colby Lewis. 6 Saves, Neftali Feliz. Yovani Gallardo comes in a close second to Colby Lewis. 56.2 Innings Pitched, 4 Wins, 40 Strikeouts. Safe to say our bullpen is getting better. Matt Harrison should return soon, and Derek Holland started throwing again. I still miss Nolan Ryan's involvement in this area of our game, but clearly Mike Maddux is doing just fine.
Who do we have back?? Shin-Soo Choo. Tanner Scheppers. And, Josh Hamilton! I'm glad to have these guys back!!! Today was Josh's first day with the Rangers... he didn't have a great outing, but he got on base and had an RBI. Hoping his "natural" swing gets up to speed and he's able to start helping us in the 5th spot in the line-up. (If he gets better, they may move him to 4, but Beltre is still doing a good job at clean-up). He played a little Left and Right field today. That will continue to evolve too. I say Josh is batting .300 by July!
What's next? More games against Cleveland. More Road Games that is. 16 of the Rangers 22 Wins have been on the road. Fine, we'll take it. It's how the Dallas Cowboys played their entire season too. We're used to it!

Today is Memorial Day.
This article has a lot of good thoughts on how we should respond today and every day to those who have sacrificed their lives, time, families, and health. Very few men and women come back from their time of service without having given up something of themselves. We will never be able to repay them, but we can honor them.
Here's a photo of a Marine and his wife. Beautiful!
Photos I took at Arlington National Cemetery. Humbling.

Real random info... here is a way to fall back in love with your old t-shirts!
For some reason, the older you get, the more and more crew neck t-shirts make you claustrophobic! It's like I have a minor panic attack in the dressing room or even at the thought of putting something on that touches my neck and is trying to strangle me. Okay, a little dramatic, but you get get the point and are probably agreeing with me.
If you're buying a new shirt, get a V-Neck!!
There are many ways to keep your old shirts you've collected from Branson Missouri, Hawaii, and Florida... or from your days of playing sports.
You can either cut a V in the neck or cut off the entire stitched cuff. I attached photos of how to cut a V in the neck. If you want to cut off the entire neck, just cut right at the stitched line and bye bye crew neck! You can cut a V in the boat-neck too! Go Crazy!
Take your favorite Bayside T-Shirt from Saved by the Bell...
Fold the neck sideways...
Cut a corner off or the entire cuff on the top of the neck (for a boat-neck look)...
You now have a V-Neck...
B, B, B, Go Bayside!

Go Warriors!!! I want to see Steph Curry win a Championship!! #MVP~smile~
