GO MAVS!!! 3-1 Playoffs
The Mavs won Game 4 in Houston to get one win on the board in a series of 7 games, assuming we get to the 7th game. The Houston Rockets only need one more win in the next 3 games to knock the Mavs out of the Playoffs. But, Cuban re-built the "dream team." Well... an aging dream team.
What to know going into Tuesday nights game 5... MUST WIN!!!!
1. Dirk isn't getting any younger, so you better believe he's giving his teammates a pep talk to get them to rally into the second round of the Playoffs.
2. Best Decision by Cuban... getting Tyson Chandler back. That dude is a beast and has boxed out Dwight Howard for 4 games and says he's ready for Game 5! A little healthy trash talk never hurt anyone.
3. Worst Decision by Cuban... taking Lamar Odom. Okay, so second Worst Decision by Cuban... taking Rajon Rondo. Dude either can't be coached or has just quit on his game. If Odom is his mentor, this will all make a lot more sense.
4. The mix of Barea and Aminu worked brilliantly in Game 4. Not that it has worked all season, but if it is the coaching change needed to throttle this team into a 3 game win streak, I'm all for it!
5. Monta Ellis is still brilliant. With Chandler Parsons out, Ellis has kept us on our toes and scored 31 points in Game 4!
LET'S GO MAVS!!! #MFFL

GO RANGERS!!! 7-11
"The Natural" has returned to his home-state. Yes, Josh Hamilton is back in Texas and will play left field for the Texas Rangers, mid-May or end of May.
I mentioned last post that I am not fully opposed to this. Not from a professional or personal standpoint.
Personally, I do not know Josh, but I have read his book and can only imagine all of the reasons why LA wasn't a good fit for him and his family. Most people I've met in Corporate America chase money, if Josh did too, he isn't any different. Some eventually realize that there is more to life!
Professionally...
1. He had a GREAT 3 1/2 years in Texas (he was here 5 years total). He was/is "The Natural" and everyone here loved him, forgave him and watched in awe when the ball would make the perfect knocking sound at the strike of his bat. (Nothing beats the sound of a baseball being knocked out of the park... especially when it is done effortlessly).
2. He made a few poor statements about Rangers fans. Most were not true, and he already apologized for that today. He was frustrated and had a bizarre ending to his last year and a half here. It appeared as though he quit on us... that may or may not have been the case. But, unless you've avoided the first month of baseball this season - you can see with your own eyes that we need some life out there!! Yes, these AAA dudes are coming into their own! I'm a fan of the farm system, until it leaves you with the back-up's back-up!
3. To have Hamilton back in the line-up... with Moreland, Andrus, and Beltre will be a small start to the "dream team" from 2010 and 2011. Maybe JD and fellow Owners/Managers will pull a Cuban and go get Cruz, Kinsler and Napoli back?!?! (This is a reference to Mavs Owner Mark Cuban, who dismantled our 2011 Mavs Championship team, and then rebuilt it again - as much as he could).
**Speaking of Nelson Cruz... we're playing him and his Seattle Mariners in a 3 game series, starting tonight. Best of luck Nelly... I'm sure you'll hit at least 3 home runs in your old park!**

Random Info:
The new Avengers: Age of Ultron movie comes out this week! I've recently become a total nerd and watched almost all of the other movies leading up to this one. I haven't starting buying comics yet, but if it gets that crazy... I'll let you know!
I think Captain America is my favorite so far. With Thor coming in a close second. Iron Man is fun, but dude gets to hide behind a metal suit, kind of cheating. And the "other guy" turns into an indestructible green machine. It's like the Jolly Green Giant took steroids. But, they all help people, so that is a good thing to have in common!
Go Team!

IT'S MOCK DRAFT TIME!!!

Jerry and Stephen Jones stayed strong and passed up on taking Johnny Manziel last year, to get Zack Martin. The beast of an Offensive Tackle that won Rookie of the Year and saved Romo a few more back injuries! Finally, they're getting better at drafting!
I'm not an expert on what we need... but if you watched any games this season, you know we need a stellar defense to match our stellar O-Line!!
Here are a few players that sports guys are saying Dallas should take with their first pick... we'll see what goes down Thursday night!!
Kevin Johnson - Corner Back (Wake Forest)
Melvin Gordon - Running Back (Wisconsin)
Jalen Collins - Corner Back (LSU)
Eddie Goldman - Defensive Tackle (Florida State)
4 Defensive Guys and one Running Back, our option to replace our beloved DeMarco Murray. As long as we don't pay a rookie what we could have paid Murray... I'm fine.
It shall be interesting!! Download the ESPN app on your android or iPhone and choose the Dallas Cowboys as your team. You will get alerts with each pick!
