GO MAVS!!!
We're getting Tyson Chandler back!!!! Do you even know who Tyson Chandler is?? He is a Center and Power Forward who helped the Dallas Mavericks win a Championship in 2011! (Center & Power Forward is the guy who posts up in the paint and blocks shots! He is usually a tall guy who can dunk and do some finger-rolls!) Many Mavs fans loved Chandler and were sad to see him go, but Mark Cuban traded him after the 2011 season because of the size of his contract and salary cap! (It's always about money) But who cares now... we have him back!!!
Now that I've told you the good news... here is what/who are we giving up to get Chandler... Point Guard Jose Calderon and Center Samuel Dalembert, along with our golden child, Point Guard Shane Larkin, Wayne Ellington and both of our second round Draft Picks. If you don't know these guys, just know that Mavs fans are sad to see Calderon and Larkin go!
All of this action is leading up to the NBA Draft, which takes place this Thursday, June 26 on ESPN! The Mavs had two draft picks in the second round but gave them to the New York Knicks in the deal I mentioned above, so it looks like we're building our team based on free agents this off-season! (Free Agent - dudes who have expired contracts and are wiling to be picked up/traded by/to another team).

GO RANGERS!!!
Record... 35-41 (W-L) - we are 12 Games behind the Oakland A's who lead our division. We got swept by the LA Angels last week and are currently getting beat by the Detroit Tigers.
So - I started this blog post with good news. Hope, for the future of the Dallas Mavericks. Why? Because the Rangers are so banged up right now - you are better off watching the World Cup and Wimbledon! (You know you can watch both of these events live on your smart phone... download the Watch ESPN App and you're in!)
If you're an Ian Kinsler fan (former Texas Ranger), he is playing GREAT against the Rangers, at home. He hit a home run last night at his first at bat and another home run tonight. Like I've mentioned in previous blog posts, every guy who we got rid of last year is having an outstanding season this year. Good for them. Sad for us.
p.s. I hate seeing Joe Nathan in a Tigers uniform. He was our Closer and I miss him.
Hope for the Rangers? Derek Holland should be back soon! Our pitcher that has the potential to be an Ace and is hilarious!! Ben and Skin have him on their radio show, Listen! (p.s. it's total guy humor, you've been warned)

Buy your Rangers tickets now!! Great for a family outing!
GO COWBOYS!!!
Looks like the Cowboys are beefing up their O-line! (Offensive Line) They acquired Uche Nwaneri, a 5 year veteran in the NFL, who will be joining us from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Little by little our O-line is getting better. In the draft this year, we picked up Zach Martin and have two other linemen that are returning starters. Now, if they can stay healthy, we'll be in business.
Why are these O-linemen that important? Remember, these are the dudes who block for your Quarterback. And with our Quarterback coming off his second back surgery, Tony Romo isn't going to be that mobile! But then again, we all hope Romo proves us wrong. Either way - he's our Quarterback for the next 5 years ("don't cry shopgirl, don't cry" - what movie is this from?).
Download the Cowboys 2014 Schedule! Start blocking off your calendars! (Tip: you can export the schedule for all sporting events from ESPN calendars to your iPhone, Android, etc. #brilliant)
Random Info:
Life is far too short to miss out on fresh air and the cool breeze blowing through your hair! (Unless your a dude, then it may just be a cool breeze blowing over your smooth head... balding is common, don't be ashamed)
I recently purchased a bike off craigslist, with cash, I'm not talking you into debt here, and I'm so excited to feel like a kid again! We all use the phrase, "it's like riding a bike." Well - now I can actually say that and mean it!
Also, most of us live in Texas. We can't surf in our backyard. We can't snowboard or ski. We can't climb a mountain or hike to a waterfall. So, we stand up paddle board (SUP), we play golf and we ride bikes!
Now, get outside. Take the whole family on a little ride around the neighborhood or find a park to visit! Sunset seems like the perfect time for this adventure! Enjoy it and make memories!! :) That's what life is all about!
Hug someone!
