GO RANGERS!!!
Record... 25-25 (W-L) - we're batting .500! And we're 3rd in the AL West, behind Oakland and the LA Angels.
We beat the Detroit Tigers 3-4 in the series this past week!!! :) Sadly enough, that is the team the Ian Kinsler is on (he used to be our 2nd baseman). He is missed, but he's doing better in Detroit, so good for him! (just like most of the guys we got rid of, they're all playing better this year... Cruz, David Murphy, Craig Gentry...I miss Murph's "walk up song")
The Rangers Offense has finally figured it out!!
~ they know how to hit!
~ they know how to win!
~ they know how to back each other up!
~ they know how to be aggressive!
With our pitching rotation on the fritz, guys coming and going, our Offense needs to keep us motivated!
They just showed a scene from the clubhouse in Minnesota on FoxSports Southwest - the guys were cutting up, playing a game, having fun... this is good to see! The Texas Rangers are a team of chemistry. Most teams are, but especially us. If these guys don't have fun together, enjoying playing together and want to win for each other, then we're at a loss! So it's good to see them getting that back! I think that is what we all loved about the teams in 2010 & 2011 teams. Antlers, claws, deer heads mounted in the clubhouse... boys will be boys!
Our boys are on an 11 Game, 3-City road-trip... they start a series today against the Minnesota Twins. With Alex Rios batting .316 and Choo batting .310, we're in a safe place. Now there is one guy I haven't mentioned yet this season... Rougned Odor... wow... this kid is 20 years old, the youngest MLB player! With us losing Jurickson Profar this season, the entrance of Odor into the lineup could not have been more timely. Keep an eye on this kid, not only is he fun to watch, but he will most likely will be great for years to come!

Random Info:
Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering the men and women who died while serving in the country's armed forces.
My heart is thankful today, for those men and women who have served in all of our armed forces! The sacrifices they made and are still making for our freedom.
My Uncle Greg served in the United States Air Force for 26 years. He is an amazing man and followed in the footsteps of my Grandfather, Avery. He traveled to different parts of the world and was involved in missions we'll never fully know about, "classified." I am very thankful to God that he always came back with the same heart he left with. He would do anything for the ones he loves, and he always finds a way to make us laugh! (I come from a long line of storytellers... which usually ends up in laughter and the inability to finish the story, which is funny!) Greg, my dad and their younger brother Guy are hilarious to be around! Story after story, more tears, more laughing and more "dusty rounds" (it's an inside joke)!
He is also a talented musician and singer! When my Grandfather was at the VA Hospital later in his life, my Uncle Greg would play and sing at the church inside of the VA Hospital. Here is a small glimpse of how well he plays... video.
There are too many memories to recount here, but I am proud of my Uncle, my Grandfather and my Grandad. All men who serve the Lord, their families and our country.
