Dallas Cowboys FOOTBALL is back ~ The Rangers are making history ~ Pineapple

Dallas Cowboys Pre-season football has started!!! ( Wins don't matter yet ). You know what that means? Fall is on the horizon. The best time of year ( yes, I say this every year, because it's true every year ). Crisp air, windows open, candles that smell like pine trees, beautiful apparel in dark yellows, oranges and reds... and Post-season Baseball and Football! If you haven't watched any of the games yet... here are a few notes to keep track of as we head into the first Regular Season game on Sunday, September 9th at 3:25 PM CST. Tight Ends... not burnt ends, like you can get on a BBQ brisket. Which now I'm craving Hutchins BBQ . Back to football, we no longer have Jason Witten, but you'll get to see him as a broadcaster on Monday Night Football. Geoff Swaim is a TE that has been on the roster the past three years and is finally getting his chance to start. He had two catches for 16 yards in Saturday's pre-season game vs. the Cincinnati Bengals. But,...

MLB All-Star Game ~ Texas Rangers ~ Watermelon

GO RANGERS !!! 41-55  (wins - losses) It's been a while... since we last talked. Work, Summer, Life... all good things, and all things that keep you very busy!  And just because I've been busy, doesn't mean I've stopped watching baseball. My family and I have attended seven of our ten game season ticket package, and we're excited to see what happens before the trade deadline so we know who we'll see when we're at our next game in August. MLB Trade Deadline... July 31st.  This means that any team trying to make it to the Postseason is looking to get players that can help fill gaps on their team. Likewise, teams that won't make the Postseason this year, the Texas Rangers, are looking to get money from teams so we can go get good players ourselves.  It has been speculated that the Yankees and a few other teams are interested in Cole Hamels , our starting right-hande...

NFL Draft ~ Dallas Cowboys ~ Texas Rangers ~ Life is Worth Living

NFL Draft The NFL Draft is THIS WEEK, in DALLAS! Image from ESPN The bad news is... you had to win an online lottery to get tickets to the draft. I feel like you should have a chance to purchase them. I get that the lottery is cool, but now they've made it virtually impossible to go to the Draft unless you buy resell tickets on Stub Hub for $600. No thank you. In the past, when I went in NYC, you could line up the day before the Daft out side of Radio City Music Hall, back when it was only Saturday and Sunday, and get a ticket that way. You were on the street for a long time, but it was worth it! And you could have bagels delivered to you in line for breakfast the next day. I did the same thing with a friend when we stood in line for Jimmy Fallon tickets. #brilliant There will be places for Fans to go that aren't able to attend the draft inside the stadium. Here is a full list of NFL Draft events . I'm sad that we all don't get to go to the Draft becaus...

The Masters ~ Texas Rangers ~ Paleo Ice Cream

The Masters Augusta, Georgia. That's all you have to say to a golf fan and they'll sigh. Probably because going to The Masters is on their bucket list. As it is mine. (image from The Saint) Golf is a ridiculously challenging sport. If you do not play golf, it's hard for you to imagine the difficulty of hitting a small ball into a small hole in the ground. It may even seem silly to you, but then I'd challenge you to look at every sport out there and name one that doesn't seem semi-ridiculous. As for The Masters and Amen Corner , it's a tradition. I grew up watching this tournament at our home with my Dad, Mom and two older sisters. It's where champions are made! I even remember the years Tiger Woods was starting to play. All of high school and college, for me, he dominated this tournament and so many others. Crazy to know he's playing again this year, at 42 years of age. Maybe I still have time to become a pro? I'm not partial to Tige...
