GO COWBOYS!!! 2-0 (wins-losses)
Miami Dolphins vs. Dallas Cowboys (away vs. home)
Sunday, September 22nd @ 12:00 PM CST
We are...
2-0
2-0
2-0
Get excited folks!! This is the year that we start out the season 2-0 and don't finish the season 8-8. It's a new day, and it's definitely a new season!
We've taken down the NY Giants and the Washington Redskins.
Now we face the Miami Dolphins. The team who is intentionally losing every game this year to get the first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Not only are they losing every game, they are putting their current players in danger. Football is a dangerous sport (as you can tell) and they are putting their guys on the field without a will to win. I'm not a fan of this approach, in the NFL especially. I know NBA teams do it often, and their players are not protected from injury, it just seems less likely and less dangerous.
All that to say. The Cowboys should win, and win big.
Todd Archer from ESPN had the stats pulled from the Cowboys first two games and the Dolphins first two games.
We've scored 66 points and the Dolphins have been outscored by their opponents 102-10 points. Yes, they've only scored 10 points in their first two games of the season.
Two other key notes for the Dolphins:
1) They just acquired defensive end Taco Charlton from the Dallas Cowboys, our former 1st round pick from the 2017 Draft. He will play against us Sunday, knowing Dak and our Offenses every move. Feels like a Fantasy Football play.
2) They announced their QB for Sunday is Josh Rosen, not Ryan Fitzpatrick. According to ESPN, Rosen will be the 21st QB to start for the Dolphins since Dan Marino retired in 2000. And you thought the Cowboys had problems.
Dallas keys to victory:
1) Jason Witten. He has a TD (touchdown) in each game this season and I fully expect for him to have a third this week.
2) Dak. If you don't listen to the radio, nightly news, ESPN or any other channel, that's the only way you wouldn't know that he's playing off the charts. In percentages and in points: 82.3% completion percentage and 142.9% passer rating. Leading our team to 66 points in two games, not something we've seen in quite some time.
Trivia: Dak ranks 3rd in the league for passing yards, 674. Who are the other two QB's ahead of him? (don't Google it - answer is below)
3) We have a few players that are injured: Michael Gallup (WR), Xavier Woods (S-safety), Tyrone Crawford (DE), Antwaun Woods (DT). A lot of Defensive players, but we have decent depth and we get Robert Quinn (DE) back from his two game suspension. We shouldn't have any trouble against the NFL rookie Rosen.
4) With Gallup out this week, we will see more of Devin Smith. The OSU (Ohio State) WR who had three receptions for 74 yards and 1 TD in last weeks game vs. Washington.
I would say go to a game, but I'm not sure I'd spend money on this match-up. We should win by 3 TD's.
Trivia Answer: Patrick Mahomes (821 yards), Andy Dalton (729 yards).

Random Info...
You don't have to wait until Thanksgiving to start giving back.
Fall is a great time to clean out your house. Clean out your closet. Donate anything that is in good condition and could be of use to someone in need.
Most of us have our "needs" covered and even most of our "wants" covered too. We are very blessed to be in that position, but it's not just so we can have more stuff. It's so we can be thankful and be generous to those around us.
We all have stages and seasons in life where we need others. Sadly it's easy when you're not in that season, to go along your merry way, until, bam... that season hits again. But, let's not wait. Be proactive. Look for people in your neighborhood or even offering a poncho or bottled water to those waiting at dart bus stops in this Texas rain or heat.
The smallest gesture could brighten someones day, and may even give them the will to live until the next.
And if you're on the receiving end. Thank you for receiving. It's not always easy to be in those seasons, but it as much of a gift to receive as it is to give. Either way, know that you are loved and seen.
So, if you are the receiver or the giver, whatever you do, it will be worth it.
