Texas Rangers ~ MLB All-Star Game ~ Home Run Derby ~ Mavs ~ Cowboys ~ Airrosti

So, you go on vacation for the July 4th weekend... and here's what you miss...

GO RANGERS!!! 54-36
1st in AL (barely, 1 game ahead of the Cleveland Indians)
3rd in MLB (yes, I upped my stats to include all MLB, go big or go home)

1. We don't have a pitcher who can get us out of 5 innings. We are wearing down our bullpen.
2. When do Yu Darvish and Colby Lewis get back? Should we just trade Yu? I'm game!
3. We lost 5 out of 7 game to the Minnesota Twins!!!! The team ranked 28 out of 30 teams in Major League Baseball. And three games we lost by double digits!
4. Over/Under... Rangers win 100 games. What say you?
5. It is already the MLB All-Star Weekend!! I'm watching the Home Run Derby right now... pretty amazing. Miami isn't known for having great sports fans, but their HRD candidate, Giancarlo Stanton is killing it! I've never wanted anyone to do as well or better than Josh Hamilton in NYC. (I still think that is different, Hamilton wasn't timed and these guys have a 4 minute clock with one time-out). Different format, different feel, different pressure, but equally impressive. Stanton didn't make the All-Star team, so he's pretty locked-in on the Home Run Derby!! 61 HR's won it all!!! Congrats dude!
6. All-Star Game, Tuesday, July 12th, 7 PM CST.
7. Here are your Rangers Players who made it to the All-Star game... I think we got a bit gypped with only having two players selected...

Cole Hamels, LHP (left handed pitcher)
Ian Desmond, OF (outfield)

And of course... one of our players, Ian Desmond, has become a hot item on the market for all teams in MLB. I talked about him at the beginning of the season, he switched from being an infielder to an outfielder. That isn't easy to do this late in your career, much less bat .322 and have 55 RBI's and a .375 OBP (on base percentage). Ugh... please don't leave. We just got use to you and your short pants like Ian Kinsler wore (insert tears).

Go to a game... after the break...

MAVS

Did the NBA go crazy last week??!?! I was at a wedding, in Cabo, and people in the pool, at dinner, at breakfast, were spouting off all the trades and the $$$ being tossed around! Sheesh!

Who did the Mavs get/keep?

1. Dirk is NEVER leaving Dallas. He will go out like Tim Duncan did today in San Antonio. Class Act. Beloved Player. Brought a Championship to his city. Gives back to his community. #ThankYouTD
2. We did acquire two players from the Golden State Warriors...

Andrew Bogut (Center)
Harrison Barnes (Forward)

~ These two dudes had to leave Golden State to make room for KEVIN DURANT'S $54.3 Million Dollar contract. What? That's just stupid money. I've never been a fan of how much these dudes, in all leagues, get paid, but I feel like our world is growing farther apart in association to work and pay. I'm with Charles Barkley on this one, if you're not a teacher, doctor, service man or woman, you aren't impacting the world enough to deserve $54.3 Million Dollars. KD is a great dude, gives back to the community and has done a lot for OKC, but really??!?! ~

3. It will be interesting to see what the Mavs become next year. Deron Williams had surgery on a sports Hernia and J.J. Barea had arthroscopic knee surgery in the off-season. They'll bounce back, and we'll see what we can be with Dirk in his last years.

Why couldn't we have just kept Tyson Chandler????????

COWBOYS

I changed the Cowboys header to a lighter blue. Do you like it? It seems happier to me. I think I'll keep it...

Dost my ears deceive me... is it almost time for TRAINING CAMP?? Why yes it is. Every year, the week after my birthday... the Cowboys get back to work. For real.

More to come... but get excited... here's the pre-season schedule...

Random Info:
Have you ever been injured? Are you injured now? Back hurt? Hip hurt? Tennis elbow? Plantar Fasciitis? Knee pain? Odds are, it's something else... and you're not even treating the real injury.

Y'all... I wish I had gone to Airrosti months ago. They try to help you avoid surgery and heal quickly.

A few friends told me about it, but I thought I'd stay the course with regular PT (physical therapy). No real reprieve for months and months. But, I thought it would just take time. Ummm yes, everything takes time to heal, but also NO.

At Airrosti, they try to "fix/help" you in 4 appointments or less. They want you back to exercising and playing sports. Dr. Felton, who I went to in Richardson, TX is amazing! In 3 visits she figured out my issue, and it wasn't anything what I thought or was treating for 4 months before.

You still have homework... You have to "roll" on the foam roller. Which is actually brilliant. I never knew it breaks up cellulite in addition to helping release all of the tension in your tendons. That is what tendonitis is, in layman's terms.

You'll also use a lacrosse ball... but it totally works! Trust me.

Clayton Kershaw used Airrosti... watch a short clip. They use a deep tissue technique that works! Crazy, but it works!

Most are certified as chiropractors, so your insurance should accept them.

There's my random info for the day!

Disclaimer: Don't go get hurt to try this place... trust me, if you're under the age of 25, keep living and you'll need this recommendation one day.

Hug Someone.

Dirk Nowitzki ~ Dallas Cowboys Free Agency ~ Texas Rangers ~ Selection Sunday ~ Loveland, CO

GO MAVS!!! 27-36  (wins - losses) Dirk, Dirk, he's our man... if he can't do it... no one can!!!  Well, only 5 other guys can and have.  Dirk is now 6th on the all time list of NBA players to score 30,000 points . This is a crazy accomplishment. He's played over 1,300 games in his 19 year career with the Dallas Mavericks.  His commitment to this team and to our city has been life changing for many. He does a lot in our community through the Dirk's Heroes Foundation . Fundraising and giving grants to non-profits in our community and around the world that are making an impact in the lives of children and families in need.  Back in the day, the Mavs games were fun to watch with the " Three J's " - but we didn't win a lot, and we never thought we would make it to the playoffs consistently, much less to the NBA Finals. ( Three J's: Jimmy Jackson, Jamal Mashburn, Jason Kidd - here's a funn...

The Masters, in all its beauty ~ Texas Rangers ~ Dallas Mavs ~ Get Outside

The Masters The ultimate Bucket List item and one of the ones that exceeded my expectations. If you play golf, have a family member who makes you watch golf or take naps to golf, you understand that The Masters is the holy grail of golf tournaments. It is the only PGA tournament that is played in the same location every year, Augusta, Georgia.  Thanks to very dear friends of mine, I had the chance to walk through the azaleas, experience the serenity of Amen Corner and watch the players skip golf balls across the water at Hole 16. If they allowed people to sleep on the grass, I would have stayed forever.  We were there for two days of practice rounds, which is fun because the players are relaxed and cut up with one another. They cancelled the Par 3 Contest, which was sad, but just being there was the most wonderful feeling ever. You can't take phones in, so I even called my parents from the phones at Augusta, just to do so. We also didn't realize you could bring in a real camer...

Week 13: Dallas Cowboys vs. Minnesota Vikings ~ NFC East ~ NFL logo quiz

GO COWBOYS!!! 10-1 1st in the NFL 1st in the NFC EAST Thursday, December 1st 7:25 PM CST on NBC We've NEVER won 10 consecutive games. Ever.  We lost our first game of the season to the New York Giants, by one point. And oddly enough, they are still the ghost we're trying to run away from and secure our playoff spot with only 5 Regular Season games left.  Here is what the NFC East looks like going into Week 13...  The Minnesota Vikings... what should we fear?  The Vikings are in the NFC North Division. They currently trail the Detroit Lions for a spot in the playoffs. They have only won 1 of their last 5 games, which makes this Thursday night, showtime game, a must win for the Vikings!  4-1 at home, The Vikings meet the Cowboys who are 5-0 on the road. Oh how I love those odds! Forever in our favor this season.  Quarterback situation. Sam Bradford is the starting QB for the Vikings. A guy they got in the o...
